excerpt: "Manual of the Mustard Seed Garden"

….He should then begin to study the brushstroke technique of one school. He should be sure that he is learning what he set out to learn, and that heart and hand are in accord. After this, he may try miscellaneous brushstrokes of other schools and use them as he pleases. He will then be at the stage when he himself may set up the matrix in the furnace and, as it were, cast in all kinds of brushstrokes, of whatever schools and in whatever proportion he chooses. He himself may become a master and the founder of a school. At this later stage, it is good to forget the classifications and to create one’s own combinations of brushstrokes. At the beginning, however, the various brushstrokes should not be mixed. (26,27)

Yesterday was such a tough today emotionally & spiritually. My heart & mind is toggling between fear & faith. Bellowing to the heavens asking God to show me my purpose during this lifetime.

This future faked inheritance that was "gifted" through "promises" of deceit. It is true that there is a trickster energy laying waste to my sense of self. I remember the mustard seed. & I think of how easy it is to be consumed by divisive internal dialogue. Pondering what it means to be in alignment with a uniformity; singularity.
 
I think about the Manual of the Mustard Seed Garden:
'To keep my heart & my hand in alignment.'

It's quite a challenging time seeing myself fall into bits and pieces. To hardly imagine what peace of mind, loving compassion, and non-attachment felt like. I keep asking for a sign but this is not righteous,  is it?

The Demand for a Sign
16 The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.

2 He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ 

3 and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. 

4 A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away.

15 “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. 

16 I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.”

17 “You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” 

18 Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment.

19 Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”

20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

In Greek mythology, Tantalus was a king known for his immense wealth and divine lineage (son of Zeus) but also for his hubris and transgressions against the gods, which resulted in his eternal torment in Tartarus.
