Mount Mike is Producer & DJ who hails from Melbourne, Australia and currently resides in Vancouver, Canada. Never wavering in his mission to push song and dance beyond the conventions of genre, Mike's taste is broad and doesn't stick to one sound. His music takes on otherworldly tones and textures, bending mood and energy, blending thump and melody. Deep house at the core, his tracks meander through progressive and minimal territory, sometimes even lending from techno. He loves it weird and wonky and is not afraid to blur the boundaries.
His DJ sets have landed him slots at Australian festivals such as Strawberry Fields and Babylon and have also seen him support some of the world’s finest acts including personal favourites such as: Stimming, Frankey & Sandrino and Andreas Henberg. Off the stage his role as host on Premium Tuna - a radio show on Kiss FM dedicated to Australian producers and DJs - and director of Under The Nest Music & Arts Festival - a boutique camping festival run in the Winton Wetlands - has cemented his place in the Melbourne scene as one of their own.
As a producer, Mike enjoys creating a space where organic and synthetic sounds can meet in emotive harmony. Just like his live sets, he doesn’t like colouring inside the lines. His mantra? There’s a rhythm in everything, you just have to listen for it. His mission? To spread connection and dancing through the emotive and sometimes weirder side of house and techno. Signed to Australian label Suckmusic, Mike's releases have been building momentum with a string of Beatport chartings and Spotify traction. With a number of exciting releases scheduled for 2021, Mount Mike is certainly one to watch out for.

Welcome to “famiglia Savaggio”. This is Rudi and Toni. Brothers without a father since Roberto left. In the beginning we lived in Berlin. There, like scientists, we experimented. We started to play live, sometimes with a violin. We watched as our audiences showed surprise and then excitement. As we toured, we refined our signature sound. Some call it “deep string”. We made good friends. We made music with them. And sometimes they came to join the party.

You may not see us much on the dance floor these days. But we’re still here. So come find us. We won’t alienate you. We’ll hold you close. Whoever you are.

Lost on a voyage for milk and honey, Melbourne’s Mount Mike stumbled upon Berlin expatriate Toni Savaggio when both their vessels ran aground on the same mighty rock. It wasn’t long before Mike noticed the 5-string violin slung across Toni’s back and learned the instrument was itself a seasoned veteran, having performed with Toni throughout the old world from Kater Blau to the YinYang Festival on The Great Wall of China. Inspired by this chance encounter, Mike shared that he too had been an electronic artist before the outbreak, and invited Toni to join him on his hike inland, in search of new places to perform. Toni agreed and the next morning they set out together, on a quest for a land they hoped still existed.

Mike Hikes is a series of location-based DJ sets taking place in some of the most beautiful/inspiring spots in British Columbia. 

This first episode happened at Murrin Provincial Park just south of Squamish. It was about an hours hike to reach the top of the rocky outcrop which looks out over Howe Sound with my wife and disco cat (who you'll see in the video if you look closely).

Mike Hikes is a series of location-based DJ sets taking place in some of the most beautiful/inspiring spots in British Columbia.

Episode 2 took place right in front of Cascade Falls - a stunning waterfall North East of Mission. Fun fact, there was so much water coming off the falls that I had to wipe down the decks between every transition. Can confirm the Pioneers XDJ-RXs are quite water resistant !

Our next exclusive mix comes from Melbourne based Rem Siman

Although he tends to branch out into many various genres under 'House', he particularly enjoys mixing Melodic Techno, Indie House and Progressive House.

After a few of his distinctive tracks began to be played internationally at festivals and clubs, it was clear that his sound was instantly bringing crowds together. 

This lead him to play shows across North America in only his second year of producing. Rem has since signed with established Melbourne Label, Suckmusic.

Jordan Arts  joins the deep wave of ZEHN Records with Ying-Yang-like energies. His Song “Find A Way” strikes with the sheer force and tranquility of father ocean alike. Its vigorous drive is inhabited by the pure chill of the element of water. While its cataclysmic bass signals an unknown danger, the pure, soothing, flutes and synth lines loosen the tension.

“Find A Way” blooms anew, receiving additional interpretations by none but less Label heads Tube & Berger. The Remix arrives with a forceful drive and distant hints of melodies. Erly Tepshi - Reflections

Hey everyone,

For my second live studio stream I will be performing a song by one of my biggest musical influences - Kraftwerk. I will then talk about the entire process I went through remaking the work and take any questions from viewers.

I was lucky enough to see Kraftwerk in Australia in 2003 (Concert poster pictured) and will be seeing them again here, in their home city of Düsseldorf at their upcoming Tour De France 3D Concert.

Gilles Bernies’ debut release ‘Abstract’ captured the attention of some notable DJ’s and tastemakers around the world. Argentina’s premier online radio station Futur Rock dropped ‘Abstract’ on their “Argentina Electronica’ Program while the release featured in the Beatport Hype Melodic House & techno Hype Charts.

His next release is a two tracker which defines another chapter in his musical journey. ‘Signals’ is a powerful melodic track that washes you away into a dream like state. A wonderfully warm and balanced composition with more space in between sounds, the track recedes into a magical breakdown from which the melody emerges. ‘Breakwater’ is almost tribal in nature, both epic and bold. Gilles atmospheric vocals cry out in the background conjouring an almost mystical presence from within.
