As a producer, Mike enjoys creating a space where organic and synthetic sounds can meet in emotive harmony. Just like his live sets, he doesn’t like colouring inside the lines. His mantra? There’s a rhythm in everything, you just have to listen for it. His mission? To spread connection and dancing through the emotive and sometimes weirder side of house and techno. Signed to Australian label Suckmusic, Mike's releases have been building momentum with a string of Beatport chartings and Spotify traction. Welcome to “famiglia Savaggio”. This is Rudi and Toni. Brothers without a father since Roberto left. In the beginning we lived in Berlin. There, like scientists, we experimented. We started to play live, sometimes with a violin. We watched as our audiences showed surprise and then excitement. As we toured, we refined our signature sound. Some call it “deep string”. We made good friends. We made music with them. And sometimes they came to join the party.

You may not see us much on the dance floor these days. But we’re still here. So come find us. We won’t alienate you. We’ll hold you close. Whoever you are.

Lost on a voyage for milk and honey, Melbourne’s Mount Mike stumbled upon Berlin expatriate Toni Savaggio when both their vessels ran aground on the same mighty rock. It wasn’t long before Mike noticed the 5-string violin slung across Toni’s back and learned the instrument was itself a seasoned veteran, having performed with Toni throughout the old world from Kater Blau to the YinYang Festival on The Great Wall of China. Inspired by this chance encounter, Mike shared that he too had been an electronic artist before the outbreak, and invited Toni to join him on his hike inland, in search of new places to perform. Toni agreed and the next morning they set out together, on a quest for a land they hoped still existed.

Mike Hikes is a series of location-based DJ sets taking place in some of the most beautiful/inspiring spots in British Columbia. 

This first episode happened at Murrin Provincial Park just south of Squamish. It was about an hours hike to reach the top of the rocky outcrop which looks out over Howe Sound with my wife and disco cat (who you'll see in the video if you look closely).

Mike Hikes is a series of location-based DJ sets taking place in some of the most beautiful/inspiring spots in British Columbia.

Episode 2 took place right in front of Cascade Falls - a stunning waterfall North East of Mission. Fun fact, there was so much water coming off the falls that I had to wipe down the decks between every transition. Can confirm the Pioneers XDJ-RXs are quite water resistant !

Mike Hikes - Episode 2 | Cascade Falls

Our next exclusive mix comes from Melbourne based Rem Siman

Although he tends to branch out into many various genres under 'House', he particularly enjoys mixing Melodic Techno, Indie House and Progressive House.

After a few of his distinctive tracks began to be played internationally at festivals and clubs, it was clear that his sound was instantly bringing crowds together. 

This lead him to play shows across North America in only his second year of producing. Rem has since signed with established Melbourne Label, Suckmusic.

For my second live studio stream I will be performing a song by one of my biggest musical influences - Kraftwerk. I will then talk about the entire process I went through remaking the work and take any questions from viewers.

I was lucky enough to see Kraftwerk in Australia in 2003 (Concert poster pictured) and will be seeing them again here, in their home city of Düsseldorf at their upcoming Tour De France 3D Concert.

If there's one thing the Surecut Kids like to do it's PARTAY! And DJ, and play fresh ass bass music, and, well DRINK! Who doesn't I hear you ask? Well let us tell you this quite simply: no one does it half as well as these Kids! And just to prove it the boys have gone and gotten their new single 'Pour That Cup' ready for y'all! Featuring the vocal talents of Kiel O this fresh trap influenced bass-music-meets-hip-hop-meets-all-out-party-jam is guaranteed to have you drinking and partying like there's no tomorrow! Damn son! On the remix tip comes a delicious array of drunkin' masters. Klub Kids homies Conway drop without doubt one of their best works to date with a chuggy as fuck deep house groove served with a twist of acid (think they'll be scoring some Dirty Birds with this one wink wink), the Surecut Kids fellow Queensland homeboy Komes comes correct with some straight up party jack n' pop (everyone's drinking it don't you know), Bert On Beats drops a crazy ass futuristic bass experiment (with more groove than you could shake your groove thang at - whatever that is), and lastly - but far from leastly - comes DJ Butcher with an immense trap bomb (ironically featured on our brand new compilation 'Trap Bombs Vol. 1'). As a bonus the boys have also included the jam 'No Guilt', another trap bomb for your growing arsenal of Klub Kids trap bombs. It's war!
