Flavya and Aniel start with a base of rattles and congas (African-Cuban drums). This is the percussion that will set the cadence for the song. Soon, Aniel adds his acoustic double bass, increasing the swing of the ensemble. Then, Flavya plays the flute and mixes synth sounds. In the end, she adds nature sounds.

The result is an ethereal, somewhat romantic, and dancing sound. A samba song with a foot in the Caribbean. A little inebriating, like rum; a little sweet, like soda. Uniting north and south in Sound America, going from the Art Deco neon lights in Miami to a hot night in Havana or a morning contemplating the ocean in Bahia.

Unindo norte e sul no Sound America, indo das luzes de néon Art Déco de Miami a uma noite quente em Havana ou uma manhã contemplando o mar da Bahia.

Salvador Araguaya wrote this track back in 2016 and lost the original project when his equipment was robbed in Brussels last year. It contains of the the most famous speeches of the ex-president Lula  during the military government in Brazil (1978), mixed in a mezzo afrobeat mezzo afrohouse fashion. The timing is essencial, since Lula has been unlawfully imprisioned by the brazilian federal police two weeks ago. And there´s no compelling evidence to sentence him at the same time he's the main contender for the elections late this year. LULA LIVRE!

Produced by Agnes Rosa and Gustavo Fortunato, this music its a remake of a famous Brazilian singer called Dominguinhos(1941-2013). The music "Te faço um cafuné" was reinterpretated and singed by Agnes Rosa with his beautiful voice. The berimbau, a tradicional instrument from Bahia, synths and arrangement were made by Fortunato. This sound gives a fresh and dancy vibe for an old song from MPB (Popular Brazilian Music) and has the intention of keeping alive our culture and roots while blending past and future.

Neste sexto ano do Afro Fashion Day, trazemos em formato digital uma rota de Bahia fora do clichê, temperada com muito dendê. Fomos a São Tomé de Paripe, Rio Vermelho, Gamboa, Candeal e ao Parque São Bartolomeu - em Plataforma -, mostrar que a passarela mais negra do Brasil continua baianíssima, preta e mais linda do que nunca.

Por conta da pandemia do novo coronavírus, o evento trabalhou com equipe reduzida e dividiu os 31 modelos em 5 grupos. Usando as criações de 37 marcas baianas, com looks editados pelo produtor de moda do evento, Fagner Bispo, cada um passou pelas lentes do fotógrafo Edgar Azevedo e do cineasta Renan Benedito.

Ter o dendê como tema foi algo que encantou quase toda a equipe. E, também, foi motivo de comemoração para Telefunksoul, que assina a trilha sonora do curta, passeando da música africana ao pagodão baiano para dar o molho dessa mistura.
