 a  (to me) new label got my attention due to the lovely Sue:Ann (muchas gracias at this point) and it is the British label BLANK DUST, which has been founded in 2021 by no one else than Steven Weston who is already a very well accomplished producer, composer & artist with a stunning vitae and music history.
He started his label  back the days:  ‚to release my own music, then I soon realised that there are not many labels that suit this style of music. Somewhere between electronica like Max Cooper and Rival Consoles to Ben Bohmer and Christian Loffler. So I am discovering lots of new artists are trying to build a community within the label. I would love to do Blank Dust curated events so if the label goes well then hopefully that will come next. For now I am finding and listening to lots of new artists and giving them a platform to release on.’

Unveiling - Aparde Rework

Electronica music artist

A melodic blend that interweaves soft, dreamy atmospheres with the energetic vibes of various electronic genres. Like a lonely explorer, Sue moves between these worlds and has developed her own unique way of creating a perfect balance of reverie, melancholy and warm beats.

Between Bavaria and the Baltic Sea : the rhythmic commute between these places serves as a source of inspiration for her, and each place contributes to her creative process with its unique natural beauty. Nature plays an important role in Sue's life, and her retreat at the Baltic Sea is an oasis of safety and calm. Here she draws new strength from the surrounding elements and incorporates this connection to nature into her evolving music projects.

In late 2023, London-based producer @StevenWeston discovered Sue's music and invited her to release on his label Blank Dust, through which she released her first EP in August 2024. Impressed by her unique sound, Weston presented her work to Anjunachill, the sister label of the renowned Anjunadeep label, which led to the re-release of her very first production Gilderoy. Both label releases had a huge impact on her music career. 

Sue loves to play with vocals - the particular form of her unique vocal chopping is intended to create a melancholic and profound mood. This is reflected in her stage name "sue:ann", a blend of her first and last name. She writes and produces her songs by her own, also develops and realizes the visual artwork for her tracks.
