Suffix and Faith Mussa tackle this issue of finding a life partner in their song ‘Mkazi wa kumwamba’. Is this ‘mkazi wakumwamba’ real? What tribe does she belong to? Which church does she belong to?Where can I find her? What do I have to do?

‘Mkazi wakumwamba’ is about a young man, searching for a life partner. He has his own formula that he uses based on the advice he got from his parents and peers.

Intra-marriage lock in/discouragement of inter-marriages, is one issue common in many tribes in Malawi and across.

‘Mkazi wakumwamba’ refers to ‘Fredokiss- Sindikwatira’ and ‘Faith Mussa-Desperate’, to show how frustrated the young man is.

In the midst of the crisis, he is reminded of one profound truth. A virtuous woman comes from the Lord (Proverbs 31:10-31).

The Lord works with women of all tribes and races. Therefore, the young man doesn’t need to restrict his search to a particular tribe or race.
