Andy Somoza's People Unpleaser returns for their second release, this time with a various artists including top artists from across the world-Bolivia, Spain, Argentina, and the UK. Each track having its own individual story and feeling.

Our focus today is the B2; Juzel's 'La Fiesta'. The starts with a kick, snare and male vocal, and you can already tell Juzel focuses on solid sound selection to convey a feeling for his music. The subtle call and response in the synths creates a lovely groove and the simple yet effective stabby bass melody quickly has us hooked. Later being layered with a squelchy acid bass in the same pattern as the song evolves into its climax.

For this premiere we welcome our friends Subterrain Records to the page for the first time, a London based label and event specialising in underground music that draws breath just beneath the surface. For their seventh release on the label they have teamed up with B-Sides, a producer hailing from England and now living in Aus. He blesses us with 4 sophisticated, high energy tracks from the opposite end of the world.

The whole EP oozes excellence, but the A1 really stood out for us and this track is not one to be messed with. 'Are We In Danger?' stays true to it's title, starting with unsettling pads and synths... Unearthly sounds revolve around you, bouncing from ear to ear and the repeated male vocal instills fear, as you are transported to your very own sci-fi mission, and you wonder if you are really in danger. These otherworldly sounds paired with the sexy, breaky drums, and the heavy, sustained bass and layered synths, makes us certain this track will soon be setting fire to dancefloors across the globe. A masterpiece, with seamless transitioning between low energy breakdowns and big drops, it really keeps you on your toes. What's not to like?

Toscal Records returns to the page and we are excited to welcome them back with their third vinyl release on the label. The label heads Ritacco & Igna provide the soundtrack for this record, treating us to 5 unique tracks varying in energy and style, but all consistent in quality!

Their A1 ‘Disco Loco’ really brings the intensity. A beautiful vocoded vocal relaying the title of the track, coupled with the rolling bassline and drum groove, really captures the infectious energy of the song. These 2 know what they are doing, building  the tension well in the breakdowns to release in the drops and give us what we want! The vocal switch up on the first big drop too is a lovely touch.

MOON SOUND return from their hiatus with their 7th digital release on the label... their Rebirth EP, and they are back with a bang. The record is split down the middle, with the A side being created by Juan Dairecshion and the B side by Nulek & Roto.

'Next Horizon' follows suit from previous Nulek & Roto creations in that it is expertly put together, these two never disappoint. The bass is in your face from the word go, constantly moving and changing to stay interesting. The hat groove is thought out and hooks you early on. A dark robotic vocal hypnotises you and the resonant synth and eery melody all interact with one another to design a perfectly creepy soundscape true to Nulek & Roto style.
