@Scissorsisters  and @MNDR along with the rest of the world, were deeply affected by the PULSE nightclub shooting in Orlando, FL.

It wasn’t just an attack on the LGBTQ community, but on one of its sacred spaces: the dance floor. On the one-year anniversary of the shooting, the two artists are teaming up not just to ensure violence against the gay community is still part of the national dialog, but to take back the dance floor.

SWERLK celebrates individuality, diversity, freedom, and fierceness. Scissor Sisters and MNDR are donating 100% of record sales (and streams!) and encouraging donations to the Contigo Fund, which emerged from the Pulse tragedy and offers financial support to organizations working to heal, educate and empower LGBTQ and Latinx individuals, immigrants and people of color, as well as those working to end all forms of bigotry in Central Florida.

Hitting you hard with a double header this week on the podcast to get you ready for the loaded weekend. Today we feature one of our very own Billy Seal live from the playa at Carl Cox's Playground. Here's what he had to say about this set:

 The 15th annual Opulent Temple white party was hosted by Carl Cox and crew during the debut of the incredible new stage for Playground 2017 - Arrival. Featuring an arena with flying saucer flamethrowers, lasers, lights and an incredible JBL sound system. 

I was sure to thank Carl for his awe inspiring gift before he handed over the controls to this stand-out peak experience I won't soon forget.  

There were lasers beams, fire poofs and the familiar orange glow of faces at all the drops. I felt right at home.

The set features tunes by Drezo, Andruss, NuKid and others. Full of tension, futuristic robot voices and references to outer space. 

Recorded live from Black Rock City on Wednesday night at Burning Man 2017. 
(Special thank you to Leyl Master Black for making that happen!)
