This is a studio demo circa 2005 when we had some downtime with the girls from Es Vedra. We took a detour from our usual sound and did this as a blues rock experiment. One from the vaults.

Sleepless Inside (Feat. Es Vedra)

Suitenoir had a line up consisting of Richard Searby-Bates, Christer-Henning Danielsson and Steve Curnow for a number of years. The band toured and played large profile tour supports in the times from 2002 leading up to 2008. As you can hear from these studio out-takes and attempted album tracks, they are laced with fun and experimental songwriting, trying to forge a consistent sound. This sound wasnt really found until the next line up. But this era had a vibe of its own and very much speaks of us all working together to incorperate all the music we were enjoying at the time. Its ecclectic to say the least but there are some fun and interesting tracks here from 2002 - 2008... Enjoy!

Although this was the fourth incarnation of the suitenoir line up, Nothing succeeds like excess is the first full length record released internationally by the band. The album is available to download on itunes or bandcamp. The songs were written by Richard Searby-Bates and adapted/arranged by Del Rogers, Lee 'Pixie Matthews and Ryan Hannaford. Drums by Ryan, Bass by Pix, Guitar and Vocals by RSB. Drums were recorded by Gareth Young and Dare Mason, Dare Mason also recorded and mixed these versions of Dancer and Vampires. The rest was painstakingly recorded, mixed and mastered by RSB in his home above the Clipper Venue in 2010/2011.

After the brilliant reviews given for the debut album, Suitenoir quickly returned to producing this EP. Richard Searby-Bates wanted to adapt the sound they found on the first record and make it fulfill a more detailed potential. The songs are straight to the point, much inline with the adopted philosophy, but this EP see's Rich, Pix and Ryan dig a little deeper into texture and arrangement. The song 'Heart Shaped Eye's' has a guest spot by Rosie Vanier on Keys through and old guitar combo.
