an album exploring my love for electronica, the planet, music, living and the sublime. the telling a story of rebuilding the planet through individual introspection.

Organika starts by introducing a technologic filled sfx track slowly unfolding into a rhythmic and jungly vibe with chords that give some sense of mystery and curiosity through the track with a fun sexy bass line.

Exorcise the Fear speaks of facing those difficult moments and emotions with intensity and determination expressed in the intense and shaman like / ritual like energy of the track reaching a place of wisdom and resolve supported by the hopeful chords and piano melody that makes a very tribal driven track gentle and kind on it's resolve. Some arpeggios add to the magic and mystery of the track adding that sense of shift and transformation that transmutation brings to our lives.

Silence Will Come And Kiss You is a hopeful track filled with breaks that contrast the softness of the short bird like melody, the confused voice fx hook and the intensity of the driven bass-line that express the intensity that life can bring. this track is all about finding stillness throughout the chaos that life can be at times. Jungly, breaky, intense but full of hope.

Pleasure State is all about sexuality. A sexy rhythmic section supported by a smooth yet driven bass-line expressing those moments of smooth yet intense pleasure. Supported by female vox shots that say "oh oh ooh yeah, I belong here" Surgical sfx that express the intensity of such experiences that build into a gentle release with some dreamy chords and a bass a kick solo section.

Love Reset is a track about hope, forgiveness and self reflection. A journey to really understanding one self and the complexity of our individual experience. A constant build up with simple percussive elements supported by a clap and a four note melody that says "it's ok, just change" working us to a subtle release with a pulling pad and a more consistent rhythmic clap that expresses "You learned the lesson, it's okay, keep going"

Light Gaia is a celebration of conscious planet, filled with a happy chord uplifting the track throughout, a driven Dub reggae groove, a piano melody that tells a story of a planet that got it and trascended both the internal and external chaos of it's own. Supported by a guided meditation vocal enticing you to imagine....followed by a psychedelic sitar melody that's sure to take you up there to that place of wonder, mystery and devotion.

Changa Vision is a breakbeaty, speedy track supported by a simple guitar arpeggio and the voice of my niece saying "Thank You I Love You" For those who don't know Changa is organic DMT, it's smoked, it's intense yet filled with beauty and love, endless beautiful patterns and a profound knowing to which we say "Thank You I Love you"

Eternal Dance is my celebration of the underground and intense sound of the micro-house, minimal and all the sublime sounds used and celebrated in this genre. Of course a celebration of dance and intense after-hours. A delayed guitar arpeggio, an electric bass, sublime vocals, strechted gltchy sfx, organic percussions and a steady rhythmic shaker that pulls you intensely into the tracks groove and sublime intensity do all the work.

This was one of those sets that just leaves you blown away when the dust settles....the only word reverberating in my head for hours afterwards was 'wow'...took me some time and a bottle of red to come down from the experience......It was a total honour and privilege to have been asked to close out the Warehouse stage on Thursday evening at this fantastic festival..... I wasn't expecting such a big turn out or stage.....it was a little bit intimidating at first in all honesty.
It took me a while to get into my groove - but I felt that the set flowed very well once I did (after a pep talk from my good pal @charlesgreen) and it seemed to be well received by the audience.
Here is the final couple of hours of the set - I've uploaded the first 55 minutes seperately.....wasn't feeling that bit anywhere near as much as this.

The situation we’re witnessing in Gaza is heartbreaking. While the world watches, over 30,000 innocent Palestinian people, many of whom were children, have been killed and over 70,000 more injured in attacks since October 7th. Homes, neighbourhoods and cities have been destroyed, and most of the population has been displaced and left without food, clean drinking water, electricity and fuel. 

The UK government has continued to allow Israel’s bombardment in the region and chosen not to back consistent calls for a ceasefire, despite the overwhelming majority of the UK public being in favour.

In an effort to raise money for Palestinian aid charities, I’ve reached out to lots of talented artists who have kindly contributed their music to this incredibly important cause. 

Sonically it traverses chugging electronics, proto electro, Italo dance, UK techno and leftfield bass from artists like JD Twitch, Ambien Baby, Lisene, GoodMostlyBad and Azo, all of whom are joining our call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

FREE PALESTINE.

All proceeds from the compilation will be split 50/50 between two charities who are working hard to provide support and humanitarian aid in Gaza: Medical Aid Palestine and War Child UK.

A peach is a sweet and soft and good thing with a stone in the middle, and this is an album about being a person. Smartphones, analogue tape, valve microphones, computers, group games and a grand banquet were used to create this collection of songs, tunes and monologues, that use a series of contradictions to talk about being alive. 

Long-term collaborators John Ellis (piano) and Paddy Steer (percussion, bass, lapsteel, synth) join Angus Fairbairn (vocal, tenor sax) along with eleven other musicians and nearly a hundred other voices in presenting sounds likened to Ethiopian jazz and Japanese folk music. Scripts and vocal delivery evoke Ivor Cutler, Emo Philips and Leonard Cohen, for this combination of theatre, live-captured music, songs, humour and philosophy.

It is a unique collection, made by unusual means designed around the artistry and conveyance of its many contributors. Created over three years in London and Manchester, it’ll be celebrated in those two towns on the dates below, following its vinyl and digital release on Manchester label Debt Records, on 28th September 2015.

A composer, musician and performer, Alabaster DePlume (Angus Fairbairn) has toured northern Europe, appeared on UK national radio and developed theatre for Bram Stoker Festival in Dublin. His many combined arts projects are based around music, and personal inclusion. In this, his third album, he has employed as many voices as he can, in conveying a method of survival he’s been taught, he says, by everyone he’s met.

Hope grows naturally, like a
