Throughout the EP, a variety of canonical themes appear in individual sonic elements that persevere throughout the genre’s total catalogue.  But there is a robustness and resonance to these sounds that sets the tracks apart, and justifies a higher quality standard. “No Light” bears a profound example: there is a familiar, heavy, mid-range synth that tends to sound crude and crunchy, but in this track, the common element exudes a rich substance that adds surprising gravity to the tune.
