Recorded over their two day residency, 9.9.16 picks the best of the weekend and compresses it into a heavy slab of DIY-trance-progge-reared-on-minimalism. Their seemingly endless, ritualistic riffs follow their own rhythm and their own harmony to the roots of some far-away gnarled tree. Includes 'Stina' - a lilting folk-rock track written by close friend Mats G Bengtsson.

Sparks is my first try at microtonality. It is also the first time I share one of my minimalistic pieces. I've always had the belief that minimalism and microtonality would be a good fit. As this was my first microtonal endeavor, I sticked to a rather familiar tuning system. I do plan to explore 31-edo next in combination with minimalism. I also have a 12-tone minimalist album in the making so stay tuned for that.

Previously known as "Trains at 7.am.", by defunct moniker Triste Marker, which instead becomes the song title for this 2015 field-recording piece / ambient-beat, based on a recording made in the early hours in the morning (before 7 actually) of trains passing by the Jacques Cartier bridge, after doing a late night film-shooting I was part of.
