Alexis Le-Tan and Tom Colebrook quite fluidly morph into our lazy initials: ALTC. Our current appreciation for an older psychedelic sound can be traced back to a dirty, careless and omnipotent period in the early 90’s when the sun, the Fridge Club or Space Tribe leggings brought our bodies together in time to these heroic sounds. Then it all sort of just wound down, more abruptly for some, and for a long time. But like old Smaug under the Lonely Mountain, we understood the longevity of gold. A few years just gone we embarked on a restlessly chaotic and passionate re-appraisal of our sonic past - just at a different speed. An ever growing archive and many edits later, we find ourselves still going; we are a happy and volatile little team, Mr. Le-Tan, who needs no introduction here, a Titan of this slow sound - arguably the original, whose honed booth selections are regularly adorned by loyal crowds all over Europe. Mr. Colebrook, a flash in the pan veteran of the Goa scene, now mainly chief archivist and an Internal wordsmith of ill repute.
There was a folder that existed in the archive called ‘The Socialists’ and over time as we pondered it, we began to understand the contents as taking on some sort of metaphor for a socialist arc of success and defeat, of growth and change, of hope and loss, of commitment and desertion, of lies and the truth, of battles and peace, emptiness and loss. Heroic themes indeed Comrades. As a musical selection, we wanted to imbue these metaphors with corresponding sonic inflections, sometimes we thought of sounds coming up through the ground to fight and be victorious or perhaps to lose, only to retreat and live another solitary day. Some were sounds for a moment of blissful morning sun soaked success, or the grey pulse of an imagined industrial trench. But above all - this selection of songs shows a commitment to each other and to the time and place they were made, and how they exist here - Now. We hope you enjoy the show!

B1980 is respected producer and musician Bert Libeert and is best known as the drummer of electro-rock band GOOSE. This project sees him focus on his love of EBM and techno with influences taken from new beat and Belgian legends like Front242. His aim is to bring the spontaneity of live music back to clubs, armed with just two synths and two drum machines. Says the artist, "music is not all about technique or knowledge, it’s about expressing your personality and style." He sure backs that up here.
Our choice here falls on 'Modeling Minds'which  slows things down to a predatory and heavyweight crawl, with spangled synth patterns and supersized hi hats all conveying an epic sense of battle to come.

Having blazed a quietly impressive trail with his debut, self titled EP at the end of 2021, Northern exile Limoux re-enters the fray with three tracks of timeless four-four tackle.

Fat basslines, clouds of warm pads;  tough, shuffly drums, vocals looping in and out before occasionally opening up into widescreen montages. Subtle, insistently psychedelic synth motifs. Hints of Chicago, Detroit, Berlin and London run through the EP, past, present and future.

For a closing change of pace, UK don L Major steps up on the remix front with a rattling new school / old school hardcore take on Imani, all rolling breaks and deep subs, topped off with gratuitous rave stab action.

Ride the Rhythm is a slow, chuggy monster, that evokes sounds from the 80's and the 90's while keeping away from nostalgia for the sake of nostalgia. It's also a beautiful slice of music that will get people moving on the dancefloor.

Hello everyone, I know it's been a while since I've posted anything, but please bear with me. I've been really busy with work lately. As soon as I find a moment, I'll record a new set, but in the meantime, here's my second single for a little consolation. I think it's better than the previous one. Pow! The first hit of Chinaski's (https://soundcloud.com/southofmouth) ‘Ab In Die Ewigkeit’ comes in and off I go, tripping on the so familiar sounding combination of bassline and melody. The first thing I want to do is look up this oldschool new beat (or was it italo?) song I know to be somewhere out there in my playlist, but I can’t recall which one. Bummer, it would’ve fit perfectly in a mix!

Extra fire power is provided by Celestino's heavy hypnotic remix and his juicy shuffled beat and Did Virgo's proper stomping Disco Dark Mix.

PREMIERE: Disco Mortale - Voices Inside

Born in Sunderland, Dharma has surfaced with a formidable musical background - performing as a multi-instrumentalist in orchestras, bands, and most recently as an electronic music producer. Dharma’s distinctive, yet unique sound takes major influences from the likes of The Prodigy, Aphex Twin.

Still only in his twenties, Dharma has released on a flurry of labels, most notably, Permanent Vacation where he received support from the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick and CRI.

The start of 2022 saw Dharma release 3 EP’s over a 4 month period. The first being on Newcastle based label Ape-x where he delivered a monster 4 track EP ‘Escaping The Harddrive’ which explores the realms of ambient, house, techno, breakbeat, jungle, and beyond. 
The release received a wide range of support and received positive feedback from dance music heavyweights Daniel Avery, Skream and Erol Alkan.

Aside from his own productions, Dharma has been on the receiving end of a wide range of remix projects. Some of the remixer's names include the likes of Marc Pinol, Omri Smadar and Boy Short’s and in 2022 Dharma delivered some of his own remixes, most notably, remixing fellow north easterner Man Power on his renowned ‘Me Me Me’ label.

2023 plans to be a huge year for Dharma as he prepares for releases Me Me Me and his much anticipated debut on the dance music heavy weight R & S Records.
