As we re-enter with Vol. 7 of Meeting Of The Minds & I've got a very special set of tracks on this one.

Even though I've known Sully for a number of years now, we've never actually been able to work on a tune together, for no reason in particular. We've been supporting each other's music in that time & I've been a big fan of some of his music, especially the tunes on his label Uncertain Hour, his recent EP on Astrophonica & his collaborative EP with Kid Lib on Magic 3. But our paths have never really crossed musically, so I thought that this collaborations series would give me good reason to get in touch and work on something with him and the outcome of that is "Windswept".

PREMIERE: Sully & Tim Reaper - Windswept [Future Retro London]

Our latest premiere is an absolute masterclass in jungle rhythms as Arcane pushes boundaries with his latest track 'Curse of the Pharaohs' from the EP of the same name. Due out Dec 16th on the mighty Irish label Rua Sound / Foxy Jangle listen to it hear first.

His second foray into the Rua Sound and Foxy catalogue sees him push the boundaries of bass infused jungle rhythms, offering rolling breaks, alongside intricate melodies and percussive mastery.

This outing is on the Irish label's stellar jungle series, Foxy Jangle, which has previously featured luminaries such as Sully, Tim Reaper, and FFF. On this double-A release, Arcane marks out his space in the jungle landscape: hard precise drum programming backed with swooping basslines, with bright melodic leads throughout.

The Bristol-based producer is on a run right now, following the release of a collaborative EP with Jon 1st this month, and headlining the Rua Sound weekender last October.

The double track release is out December 16th, with the pre-orders for vinyl and digital available via the Rua Sound Bandcamp here. Don't sleep on it!

Fracture returns to the label for the first solo release since The Limit VIP to kick off another LTD 10” series. APHALTD001 sees Fracture giving the VIP treatment to one of his favourite hardcore records from 1992; The Skeleton Krew’s ‘Luv Ta Luv Ya’. Originally released on Skeleton Recordings, it was a big favourite of DJ Randall and LTJ Bukem but as a young Charlie Fracture was only 13 at the time it was pirate radio where he first heard it: 

“I had a tape from my favourite station, Weekend Rush. It was a Vinyl Groove set with MC Shabba over it and a lot of the records on there totally blew my mind. I’ve since found out what pretty much all of the records are but there was this one, Luv Ta Luv Ya, that I only recently managed to get an ID on and lost my mind again. I hadn’t heard it outside of that tape, which I sadly lost.” 

Soon after finding out the details of the record, Fracture took to twitter to pass on his love for the track and praise to DJ Monita. It turned out the praise was mutual and that he was very much still active. Very soon after that a remix was arranged . . . sometimes the internet does actually work, or was it something in the stars?

Fracture x DJ Monita - Luv Ta Luv Ya [Fracture VIP] OUT NOW

Felipe Kanela presenta Cumbias Interdimensionales, un EP donde la pista de baile es un portal. Este lanzamiento conecta dimensiones, culturas y épocas a través de bajos tropicales, ecos de nostalgia y ritmos mutantes.

El primer track es un remix interestelar al productor Kusmo (aka Rainers), directo desde Latvia, donde el folklore del Báltico se funde con vibras latinas y delays de otro plano.
La segunda pista es un mashup prohibido de amor sonidero, reimaginando a Los Temerarios en una versión paralela de cumbia electrónica con alma de barrio y glitches emocionales.
Los dos últimos tracks son creaciones originales de Felipe Kanela, donde las raíces de la cumbia se mezclan con sintetizadores, delays espaciales y percusiones digitales.
Todo el EP es una ruta sónica por realidades alternas donde la cumbia sigue evolucionando sin perder su corazón.

Este no es un homenaje al pasado: es una conexión viva entre lo clásico y lo que aún no existe.

Pirmais celiņš ir zvaigžņu ceļojuma remikss latviešu producentam Kusmo (aka Rainers), kurā Baltijas folklora saplūst ar Latīņamerikas noskaņām un citpasaules aiztures efektiem.

Cumbias Interdimensionales is an EP where the dancefloor becomes a portal. Felipe Kanela blends tropical rhythms, nostalgic echoes, and mutant beats to connect dimensions, cultures, and eras.

The first track is an interstellar remix of Latvian producer Kusmo (aka Rainers), fusing Baltic folklore with Latin vibes and otherworldly delays.

The second track is a forbidden mashup of sonidero love, reimagining Los Temerarios in a parallel version of electronic cumbia with barrio soul and emotional glitches.

The final two tracks are original creations by Felipe Kanela, where cumbia roots intertwine with synthesizers, spacey delays, and digital percussion.

This EP is a sonic journey through alternate realities where cumbia continues to evolve without losing its heart.

Jack Stevens aka Sully has become somewhat of a cult figure in the jungle world with his output being in high demand. His work is unmistakable. It’s always true to it’s origins while simultaneously adding new takes and juxtapositions in palette and composition. A true artist that excels in his field.

Stevens returns to Astrophonica with Swandive, a body of work presented in dual energies - dark & light, body & mind, Yin & Yang. In Werk you’re put to the test physically as es- ki-like percussion stabs grab the attention and demand a response. A staple in Fracture’s DJ sets for the last year or so.

Poison demonstrates a side to Stevens’ production that is harder, meaner, cruder and all together more brutal than he is known for. The result is an infectious mix of venomous bass and corrupted drum breaks fit to kill any dance.

The title track Swandive begins to counterbalance the fierce energy and bring some har- mony opening with calming strings and trademark icy melodies before elevating to an intense state of amen divinity that twists and turns in a story like fashion.

Memories completes the balance with euphoric bass stabs and emotional strings culminat- ing in a searing and conclusive anime-like solo. Some of Stevens’ most daring work. The cycle is complete.
