Subject Wonk

The man I wrote this about has since passed away. The only reason I found out is because I did a random Google search of his name after realizing that he hadn't contacted me in months when, normally, he managed to bug me at least once a month.

It's complicated. 

The Google search led me to a video of his funeral service uploaded by the church it was held at. It might seem weird to film something like this, but I'm glad they did. I got to hear people talk about him and mention things that he, himself, never told me. I learned things about him that he couldn't tell me himself, because by the time I met him, maybe he had already began to crumble.
