Ellen Allien (Bpitch Control)

ベルリンを拠点にDJ、プロデューサー、そしてレーベル"BpitchControl"のオーナーとして幅広い活動を繰り広げる女性アーティスト。DJとして91年ごろから活動を開始し、その後 Berghain, Watergate, Weekend, Tresor、Maria、WMF、E-Werkといったドイツの名門クラブでレジデントを務め、ヨーロッパ最大の屋内レイヴ"MAYDAY"やドイツの歴史的ストリート・パレード"Love Parade"にDJとしてレギュラー参加するなど、常にベルリンを代表するワールドワイドなトップ女性DJとして注目を集めている。日本においては WIRE03/04/05/07/08/09と出演し、そのキュートな魅力を振りまきながらも渋い選曲でフロアを虜にする彼女のDJとしての才能はすっかりお馴染みである。制作においては94年から作品を発表しており、2001年に発表した1stアルバム"Stadkind"が世界中で爆発的なヒットを記録、03年にリリースした2ndアルバム"Berlinette"も記録的なヒットとなり、これを機に世界各地のフェスティバルやクラブからのオファーが絶え間なく訪れるようになる。3rdアルバム"Thrills"も爆発的なヒットを記録する。2007年にはこのシリーズに参加する事がトップDJの冠とされているロンドンのクラブFABRICがリリースするミックスCDを担当。自らのレーベル音源はもちろん、Cobblestine Jazz、Damian Schwarzといった旬の才能、そしてTom Yorkeまでさらりと取り組む素晴らしいセンスを見せつけた。続いてBPitchでの人気ミックスCDシリーズ"Boogy Bytes"の第4弾を手がけ、さらに全世界待望となった4thアルバム"SOOL"を08年に発表する。またレーベル"BpitchControl"の運営においても手腕を発揮し、自らトラック制作、ビジュアル作成、そしてイベント・オーガナイズとマルチなプロダクションを遂行。同レーベルをドイツ屈指の人気レーベルへと育てあげ、レディオヘッドから絶大な支持を受け共作もしているModeselektor、 Apparat&Modeselektorの共同ユニットModerat、Telefon Tel Aviv、Fuckpony (aka Jay Haze) 、Kiki、Sasach Funke、Thomas Muller、Chaimなど、今ではすっかり売れっ子となったアーティスト達は、エレンが発掘し育てあげたのである。現在は自身のファッションブランド EAFを立ち上げ、洋服の制作・デザインなども手がけている。

今年9月にリリースした、BPITCH CONTROLカタログ300番の記念すべき「FREAK」EPの”Butterfly”リミックスとして、Radioslaveはじめ、LA Williams、Aux88、EJECAらのリリースを2015年春に予定しています。東京、大阪でのプレイもとっても楽しみで皆に会えるの待てないわ！

Carl Cox - Drum 4 Better Daze

Joy Orbsion is someone we have a long and fruitful relationship with here at Dekmantel. He is, and always has been, a pure embodiment of UK dance music. His sound is steeped in English musical history (often explicitly in the form of sampled monologues) but also very much makes a new history of its own. He’s had countless underground hits from his definitive post-dubstep breakthrough ‘Hyph Mngo’ to his peak time tech tools with Boddika, and each one marks a mini reinvention of his style. What ties them all together, though, is O’Grady’s unique penchant for blending garage, bass, funky, house, techno and old school jungle into his own fresh concoctions. 

The two hour podcast he has served up here -as a perfect warm up to our festival this weekend- is split into two parts. Says the artist himself, “the first half is basically a way of showcasing producers that are doing great things at the moment and is completely made up of new, unreleased music, and the second half is basically winding things down with a load of stuff from my record collection. A come down, of sorts.” Starting with a spoken word snippet from his jungle playing uncle Ray Keith, the mix is initially atmospheric and moody, with sleek and stripped back drums and smeared synths making for a heady and intimate mood. After picking up through skewed bass patterns and skeletal techno, the second half seduces with elegiac rhythms, jazz selections and spoken word tracks as well as delicious soul sounds, reggae and stoned broken beat.  The results show exactly where Orbison is at musically, as well as offering an insight into where he has come from.

An electronic music singer-songwriter? For many, those words do not fit together. For Monolink, they do. The multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer and performer from Berlin mixes the two genres into a hypnotic hybrid. House rhythms and electronic synth sounds meet organic basslines, Monolink's haunting voice and empathetic songwriting.

"Father Ocean" is another great track from his debut album "AMNIOTIC" which was released in April.

After remixes by Patrice Bäumel ("Sirens") and Tale of Us ("Swallow"), Ben Böhmer takes over and delivers a quality remix. Ben is one of dance music’s brightest stars, 25 year old Berlin producer and live act has had a monumental year. Following releases on Anjunadeep and his own Ton Töpferei label, he's been named as one of Billboard Magazine’s `Ones To Watch`.

After a successful festival summer (Burning Man, Lightning in a Bottle, Fusion and many more), Monolink started his tour -  for the first time with three-headed band on the stage - mid November. All dates of that tour are completely sold out already.
