2) About the Recording Format...

This track and its companion belong to the the collection "An Evening of Hindustani Classical Music". These recordings were made using a special microphone that 'hears' sound the way you do (it is shaped like a human head, and has two artificial ears that are used to record the left and right channels). Because of this, headphones are required to experience the 'you are there' effect. While you may play this recording over loudspeakers, some of the realism will be lost; the phrase "optimized for headphones" appears in the file name(s) as well as the metadata as a reminder to the listener that headphones are the preferred listening method.
