Summerfling Memoirs is: Erik “Rikki Boy” Magalit on vocals and guitar, Ivert Moralde on bass and Vince Mirto on drums.
The band’s music is about telling stories of complex emotions through heavy guitar riffs, booming basslines, smashing beats and expressive vocals.

Formed in 2016 as an acoustic band, 3 friends from the province of Aklan, Philippines, Rikki, Vince and Ivert (on percussion back then) got together in Los Angeles, CA and started arranging and playing original songs that Rikki had wrote years prior to the band’s conception. The music they created sounded good but the trio felt that there was something missing. They soon started looking for members that wanted to join the band. Unfortunately, they struck out and could not find anybody interested. At that point, the band had a brainstorm and decided to regroup and refocus.

In 2019, the group had decided to go full band swapping acoustic guitars for electric and a full drum set-up. The biggest change was Ivert switching from playing percussion to bass and with that, Summer Fling was born; and their 1st single entitled Aklan was released shortly after. But due to copyright reasons, Summer Fling changed their name to Summerfling Memoirs in mid-2020.

The band is currently working on self-recording and self-producing their ep.
