"This piece was aimed at capturing a sense of isolation and confusion. I've felt like I've been walking in place due to the financial situation tuition put me in, my lack of development in music, art, really any field I applied myself to, coupled with the situation where my parents and I have to take care of my autistic brother who doesn't seem like they'll ever be at a point where they can take care of themselves. I'm worried about the present and the future is unclear. That's the feeling I wanted to convey through this really cold and personal instrumental. I thought of the static as more of an instrument than an effect in this and I wanted it to obscure the listeners hearing to emulate a low visibility snow storm where the scenery is static. I also aimed to make the instrument's presence open in some parts but claustrophobic in others to really drive home that boxed in feeling. I've also been fed up with the "banger" culture in music, and this track is part of an album that serves as a rejection of that idea. I'm not looking for people to dance to it, I'm looking for people to feel something from it."

i wrote this song the month after i moved out of my childhood home in 2018. it's incredibly painful to listen to because of how much raw emotion there is pouring out of it. all i wanted was to go back home because i felt like i was living in a stranger's house. 

thanks to the masterful work of my best friend jack (bkode), this song is in it's final phase after two years of edits. i'm absolutely floored at how this turned out, and i really think it represents the pain behind this song in the strongest way possible.
