A little insight on the song. I wrote the first verse of this song while in Miami after I left home. This song goes deep into my inner thought process and emotions that nobody really knows about me. The chorus I used for the song is the first one I have ever written actually. I wrote it my senior year in North Carolina while working on my senior project. I was going through some indifferences with my family and I just kept asking myself what’s wrong with me? Why can’t people just let me be? This isn’t something new. This is something I’ve been living with my whole life. The second verse I started writing after I came back to Houston from my 6 month stay in Miami where I was consumed by the drug culture. Ironically that was the same reason I even left Houston. Anyways, I get back to Texas and I get to the same shit I used to do. Instantly. I wrote the bridge at the end where I sing to God after a bad relapse that left me comatose for 3 days. This song has been under my belt for so long and I just feel that there are people going through the same shit or might feel the same way I did. I wanted to express myself for those people. I really do love and have a passion for music. People don’t understand that music is my escape from reality, it’s a dream I’m pursuing to make my reality. This past couple of years have been such an eye opening experience to me. I would like to sincerely apologize to everybody I have hurt these past couple of years. I was consumed by my demons and I wasn’t myself. As of now I am sober and I have been going through a lot on my own to keep it that way. I promise you 2018 will be a whole new beginning. But as for that, that pretty much explains the song.
