A 4-piece instrumental act with a plethora of talented, rotating guests, SumoChief blend influences from J Dilla to Robert Glasper in stunning style. SB-TV called them “absolutely insane...amazing” and they have brought their raucous love show to the likes of Tramlines Festival, Jazz Cafe, Bussey Building and Tom Robinson’s 6Music show.

In the single Chilliflake Honeysap clever rhymes from fellow London duo OthaSoul lace this slick groove, all snappy beats and supremely funky bass. Tight production from master beat maker Ben Hayes take SumoChief's jazzy instrumentation from hard hitting boom bap to a spacey half time groove with ease.

This is the first release from their upcoming EP 'SumoTreats' dropping on October 19th. Be ready for more soulful and funky grooves to get your head bopping.
