Here is the sequel to the first part of Digital Gwada, a tribute to Guadeloupean Zouk of the 80s. Welcome to the sunny French West Indies, to the sound of a music that bridges the gap between traditional rhythms with African roots and MIDI technologies specific to the 80s .

For this instalment of The Sunrise Social we journey across The Atlantic to the good old USA and a very special mix from Studebaker Hawk. Hawk is a full-time DJ, record dealer, curator of The Drop Vinyl subscription service and also runs the Peace & Rhythm record label. Hawk has released tracks on Paper Recordings and Toucan Sounds, as well as a handfull of edits on his STUDS label. 

Based between Massachusetts, USA, and Guadalajara, Mexico, Hawk jumps at every opportunity to travel and dig for records around the world. This is reflected in his fiery 100% vinyl mix for The Sunrise Social, seamlessly blending Cuban/South American flavours with obscure disco and Italo pop. 
A big thanks to Studebaker Hawk for finding the time to record this awesome mix for the series.
