Om Unit:  It’s me and the legend Martyn playing tunes we love to a crowd of people at Zeba Bar in DC, April 15th 2023 for Hast Du Feuer.

Om Unit: Through the years.. dBridge, Craze, Stingray, EZ, Optimo, Jah Tubbys, Uncle Dugs, Randall, Chris Farrell, Kutmah, Mixmaster Mike, Andrew Weatherall, Batu, the list goes on!

3024: What are you working on / what have you got forthcoming?

Om Unit: My vegetable Garden, my studio setup, collaborations and more acid dub! Some club tracks too, also my teaching skills, my relationships and my health! 
Forthcoming music on Zam Zam and Acid Test as well as the dope collab ep w Martyn of course!

Martyn: Yep our second collab EP on 3024 called 'AJ^6', and a remix of Nosaj Thing's 'We Are' (last track of the mix)

Vlada (@playvlada) has been playing all over the globe since just 18 years of age. Russia-born but Berlin-based for many years now, her sound is defined by a long, winding mixing style and is built on hypnotic basslines that slowly but surely zone you out. 

That very much comes out in this week's mix which initially locks you into a signature meditative pace but then builds with smart gear shifts and technical mixes. There are acid flashes to liven things up, bright synths spiraling around electrifying techno, broken beats to keep things moving then more stark industrial and metallic textures that place you at the heart of a strobe-lit and floor. It is another masterful mix full of must-find tunes from this ever more essential selector.

Recording of my recent set at the roller disco @bimano in Bern. It was a lot of fun and, reflecting on my performance, I realise I have to get a lot more into my new effect bus and learn how to best use delay and reverb effect paddles with my analogue mixer. 
Also, I will study more closely how to match the keys, as you might notice there is a little too much harmonic tension at times. That's because I didn't realise how easy it is to key shift and key sync on the CDJ. 
Nonetheless, and in spirit of all my published sets so far, I publish this recording as part of my series "Am Üäbe" which is Swiss German dialect for "practising." The reason I'm releasing all these sets that are quite imperfect indeed is that I think it is very important to show the process of learning and to share it with others because it demystifies excellence as a result of the process of making mistakes. #progressnotperfection
