Edie Brickell is a treasure. For those of you who are familiar with her Soundcloud page, you'll know that she posts at least one new song every day and the amazing thing is - they're all great! So one day Shael and I were talking about collaborations and thought - hey wouldn't it be cool to dress up a few of these little songlets that Edie's posted and then surprise her by doing a private share of the resulting tracks? Well, that's exactly what we did. So thanks to Edie for encouraging us to post these little numbers - there's 4 in all, this being the first of them.

This one's about a career criminal whose only wish when he gets out of jail is to get revenge.

Revenge

Inspired by the winter storms over much of Europe this year, this track is about Hurricane Ike which was the costliest hurricane to hit Texas and resulted in well over 100 deaths. The sheer size of Ike was such that it caused immense devastation across most of the Gulf coast from Louisiana all the way to the Florida panhandle. To this day there are still people listed as missing from the event which happened in 2008.
