"State of the Art" flips the script at 170+ with SP:MC on vocal duties. SUNANDBASS Recordings eighth release is on the horizon, an EP from none other than Marcus Intalex.

As a strong supporter of the SUNANDBASS festival since the early days, the idea for the release manifested itself over dinners, fine wines and great conversation and we’re proud to present three pieces that bear all of Marcus’ musical hallmarks.  

He kindly gave these three tracks to the label to release, and they are now set to see the light to celebrate his memory and his amazing legacy, a decision made with his family after his tragic passing in May 2017.

Deep Stepper, Roller 170 and Ninety One all have that classic Marcus sound, classical yet refined Drum & Bass, tinged with Detroit Techno and classic house, all melded together to form a coherent and distinct vibe and sound that Marcus is so revered for. The tracks are upfront and powerful enough to work on the dancefloor, yet also have a depth and feeling to them for the dedicated listener. 

We are tremendously honoured to welcome Marcus’ work into our catalogue and we look forward to sharing his music with you.
