Tale   Of   Us   breathe   new   life   into   their   acclaimed   'Endless'   LP   on   Deutsche   Grammophon,   enlisting   a diverse   set   of   remixers   to   interpret   the   compositions.   The   album’s   celestial   atmospherics   and   classical melodies   provide   rich   source   material   for   the   eleven   remixers,   whose   contributions   range   from   serene ambience   to   barrelling   techno.

Beginning   with   Kiasmos’   version   of   ‘Notte   Senza   Fine’,   the   record   continues   with   similarly   dreamy   and delicate   house   music   from   Giegling   duo   Kettenkarussell   and   Sebastian   Mullaert   (of   Minilogue   fame).   All in   all,   ‘Endless   Remixes’   lives   up   to   the   quality   of   the   original   album   and   takes   it   in   fascinating   and effective   new   directions.

German record label Giegling was born out of a mutual passion of music from a collective of friends and producers who originally set out to arrange parties in an abandoned building in Weimar for their friends. After their venue was demolished in 2008, the collective continued to make use of the Giegling brand they had formed and opened up their own vinyl only label focusing on the deeper realms of house and techno.

This mix was recorded by Ateq, a member of the Giegling collective, who will also release the labels 13th record, which features in this mix. Florian's mix is aimed to represent his personal perspective of the overall Giegling sound. In the interview we discuss the origins of Giegling and the people behind the label. We also discuss Giegling's relationship with Kann Records and the labels approach to hand crafting original artwork for their releases.

Méni (fka Menica, Sundae Sue), a Belgian-born DJ, label owner, and record collector, has established a name for herself through her wide-ranging sets and Ghent-based parties since 2012. Her first loves were jazz, rhythm & blues, funk and soul, and through these genres, she developed a taste for a groove that sticks with her to this day. Funky, easygoing, and with a heavy case of nostalgia, Méni keeps digging, creating sets for those who cherish the old that stays new. However, growing up during the rise of the Belgian electronic music scene, she soon began mixing and playing electronic music at parties in Ghent and Brussels.

For Méni, the connection between the artist and the dancer comes first. With this in mind, she founded Ojoo Music in 2017, her imprint where she curates events and releases that showcase a diverse range of electronic music, with a high appreciation for artistic individuality and movement. In Ghent dialect, you say “ojoo” to express joy and wonder, especially to share those feelings with others around you; this is exactly the spirit that defines the label. She carefully selects venues that nurture the artist-dancer connection so the events are always intimate and full of character. By discovering and showcasing emerging talents, she’s building a community of artists, dancers, and friends who share a passion for electronic music with no boundaries. A label was never far away, as were the first two releases in 2019.

In 2020, she started the Good Fruit podcast series, inspired by Funkadelic’s mantra “Good Thoughts, Bad Thoughts.” It was never about club music; instead, Good Fruit became a space for deep listening - something to enjoy while driving, cooking, dining, or simply taking a moment to slow down. Now, those thoughts bloom in real life, sometimes as a day-long, open-air chill-out session in the green embrace of De Tuin van Heden during spring and summer, and at other times inside as an intimate evening session of deep listening during the colder months.

In 2022, she was a resident at Belgium’s longest-running techno club, Fuse Brussels, but nowadays holds a residency at Funke, an art space, bar and club in Ghent.
