Earlier this year, I released my third full-length album. This marked a bit of a stylistic shift for me, as I ventured away from the solo acoustic sound that initially brought me to the Cloud. Hopefully, fans of my earlier work are still able to find something enjoyable, though!

While I am no longer working full-time within the musical field, I continue to produce and hope to be able to share my new material in the near future. As always, I want to thank the SC community for giving me the opportunity to grow as a musician.

Here's the last track recorded for my second album, "Nocturnality." It revolves around a driving, acoustic guitar groove and is played in B-A-D-E-B-C# tuning with a capo on the second fret.

Pyramid

In continuing my explorations of electric guitar, I tried using an extensive palette of guitar textures/sounds in this recording.

The tuning for each guitar is different, but the acoustic lead was played in F-A-D-F-C-E.

Primarily using my classical guitar, I experimented with some darker, more dissonant tones in this one. Performed in D-F-C-F-A-D tuning.

World–Wearied Flesh

A densely-layered, guitar-driven work written in E-flat minor.  Really tried to establish a thumping beat, along with an eclectic mix of acoustic and electric guitar textures.

All guitars tuned to Eb-Bb-Db-Gb-Bb-Db.

Jairus

Enjoy the free download! Here is a collection of field recordings that I accumulated during my time in the Adirondacks last summer.  I focused on obtaining natural water, insect, and bird sounds – and was even fortunate enough to capture a hummingbird call.   Finally, I got around to adding one, pretty raw take of fingerstyle acoustic noodling and here is the final product.  (Tuning is Open C-Major.) 

I have also wrapped up the recording/mixing process for my upcoming post-rock album, "To Bloom, To Wither," and am excited to announce that it will be released later this year. Stay tuned.

Using piano and drums as my focal points, I decided to experiment a bit more with rhythm on this one. Guitars make an appearance too, of course! They are tuned to E-A-C-G-A-E.

A synth-driven track with a strong tom beat and a smattering of guitars, all set to an open C-A-C-G-A-E tuning.

Cranked up the distortion on this one and shredded over a tom-heavy backdrop.

All guitars were tuned to D-A-D-F#-B-D.

Attrition

Built this track around a pretty straightforward, whole-note piano harmony and upbeat drum groove. The guitars, which utilized a new C# major tuning(C#-G#-C#-E#-G#-C#), came last.

Isles of the Blessed

I saved my personal fav for last. This one was written in D minor (in perhaps my favorite open tuning:D-A-D-F-A-D), incorporating a wide range of moody guitar and synth textures.

With that, I'm happy to say that I've uploaded all 15 tracks from my new LP! Now, I have a ton of new music to share; it seems as if SC won't be leaving after all :)
