Imagine being alive back in the hayday of Club Madrid; the lights, the sounds, the late nights filled with cocaine and loose women. I’d like to think I indulged in a few late nights at the spot in a past life.  I can envision walking into the hazy, dimly lit room and squeezing through the crowd to get deeper into the mix. Occasionally I wonder, had I stepped onto the dance floor in that past life, what moves would I bust? What sounds would keep us going all night? What would strike the feeling, unify the room? How would we feel when the moment hits?

Please enjoy Club Madrid Selector Vol.1, a peek into just one of my most debaucherous evenings, now over 50 years in the past. Ease into the journey with slow and soulful selections, transition through with funky grooves, and push it to the limit with house-inspired disco anthems.

This mix was built around a SPRING AWAKENING yoga conditioning class prepared and instructed by the lovely Julianna Laird. In contrast of previous FLOWHOUSE mixes, both having been mixed for high-energy power yoga classes, this volume explores a range of pace, which can be roughly generalized as follows, for a roughly 45-60 minute course:
