this week's beat came together lightning fast, just a few chops, a filter on the string which is overlaid a few times and some vocal stabs. boom. then a planet asia acapella. its got that bubble and chop reggae feel to it, which i dig.

started with a snare and big bass drum, found that lovely synth and just kept adding. I'm really pleased with this one, even though the mix is a bit murky and the vocal quality cruddy. It ust had a nice upbeat vibe. I was literally dancing around my room to this.

feels good to be working on bashment again, and i flipped this assassin acapella good n proper. layers of snares, percussion, strings and bass swaps... it could be neatened up a lot but it's late and it'll do for now.
