If this was an interlude on a Boards of Canada album, or an artist of their status, I'd probably consider it a standout track in their repertoire.  In short, damn fine track (even if you consider less a composition and more a noodle). :)

The Long Chill

This is the "hello world" for my new Shared System modular from MakeNoise. I'm completely thrilled with this thing!

Multitracked two parts on the modular into the OctaTrack. Beats and CV clock via the MachineDrum. Chord stabs on the MonoMachine. Twinkle sounds via the modular.

Patch made with SharedSystem using René for sequencing sync'ed & wave shaped DPO, modDemix for stereo imaging, Optomix for VCA, Maths for all kind of envelopes, clocks etc, Wogglebug for modulation everywhere, Echophon for delay, Phonogene for percussing some 808 sounds grains. All fed into some ValhallaRoom.

This is the recording of my live improv for the Hordijk 2023 Tribute event in Der Bosch on September 2 to commemorate and celebrate the life, love and genius of Rob Hordijk.

Hordijk Homage

The sequence is Maths channel one as the clock to Rene with the Rene's Qcv to the DPO's 1V/oct in with Final Out to Optomix Channel 1.  Rene's X gate is used to open the Optomix's VCA using the Channel 1 strike input.

Drone notes are the DPO's VCO A Saw out into Channel 2 signal in on optomix. The VCA is being opened by the Pressure Out of PP into Channel 2's Control Input.

The rhythm is a Phonogene recording of Make Noise module sounds triggered by the Wogglebug. Drone and rhythm channels are then run into Echophon. 

All the rest is manual performance.  For instance, turning strike up to mix the sequence in and out and controlling the Modulation Bus section of the DPO to change the timbre of the sequence as it runs. 
Manual control of freeze on Echophon as well. 
Outboard reverb was a Strymon

Wooden Walls: "Meter Maid"

Warbly harmonica tones from tELHARMONIC, lead voice from STO. STO goes into Echophon with STO’s linear FM and Echophon’s echo rate both modulated by Wogglebug’s Smooth CV out. Smooth CV attenuated with ModDemix before going into Echophon. Attenuation modulated throughout recording. Piece recorded, reversed, and played at half speed with looper pedal beneath itself. Field recording from St. Pauls Cathedral, London in September, 2019.
