HLGRMS - State Of Mind

Hailing from Ireland and providing the fourth selection is Atóm (IE). The elusive artist shies away from the public eye, feeling that his identity should not be a role in his music, which explains his relative obscurity, instead wanting the music to be the project's sole focus. A short but meticulous discography is highlighted by releases via Area Verde, Polyptych Noir, Univack and Us and Them Records where his astral sound has flourished. Always looking to blend and blur genres, Atom (IE) now makes his BrokenHearted debut with 'Fragile'. Its muscular groove is perfectly sculpted, driving forward through a forest of electric rhythms, striking vocal samples and lively percussion. Continuing to delight with its unpredictable nature, the main break reveals a calmer sensibility as trance-like arps and heartfelt harmonics converge, juxtaposed perfectly before effortlessly segueing into a finale that is both tense and exhilarating.
