Doom Scroll

A song about inspiration being embedded and nurtured in the people and animals you take care of, not some sort of ethereal vibe in the air like we are generally told. People have told me the chorus sounds like Brian Wilson, but that is not for me to say. It's for you.

I Know This One

I’m in the Band is a cross-collaboration between two LA bands, the post pop outfit Sun Kin and comedic punk band GUPPY. In this instance, they are one and the same.

Expressing yourself through music can be a vulnerable, embarrassing affair, full of awkward moments and cringey interactions. But there's nothing like the purpose it gives, the relief of pressure on those who love us. When you pretend people give a shit, it can feel just like they do.

Work Less

My partner Nicole and I have both been anxious to the point of dissociating since we were kids. But we didn't know each other then. We wrote this song together about how our constant worrying and worrying about worrying doesn't usually help, and in fact often gets in the way of our relationships with loved ones. Our phones, parents, politicians tell us to imagine the worst possible future, too, and it all gets swirled up in this anxious tornado that keeps us from being present with each other. But when we're performing love for each other? Everything just flows. Momentary grace we can ride like a wave.
