The sunnk /// Tusk Mite split was born from a jam we had
back in winter 2017, where we pushed stems of WIP tracks
through a live controllable granular setup.

This recording was then dredged for useful sounds,
which were teased out of the original recordings
and painstakingly crafted into usable samples.

This is the core and soul of the split.
Everything you hear right now is crafted from those samples.
The tracks themselves were pieced together in Renoise.

"We recently intercepted a broken signal being emitted from an unknown location. Once we had finally managed to decode the transmission, what it revealed was staggering. A small but potent collection of what could be nothing other than "music" from another dimension. It contained some familiar markers denoting it as such, yet the sound was like nothing we had ever heard before.

As the alien waves filled our laboratory, we became entranced, entering a hypnotic state of autonomy. Lured into the unfurling folds of such exotic auditory waves, lulled into a vivid dream, and kept in it's tight embrace. As the last note played, we awoke and the dream had ended, but what a wonderful dream it had been."

This EP was entirely written and recorded in the cable kingdom of bleeps and bloops in the city of Sofia, Bulgaria during their tradition of Martenitsa. While Ivan Shopov was working on his project Kanatitsa with Avigeya, Valance Drakes was into a rookie year for Amek, working on the collab LP with Ivan and working on his debut album for the label (An Angel In Alliance With Falsehood).

We were able to incept what appears to be an alien broadcast containing garbled fragments of what must be Jim Kimchi's upcoming release on Paracusia Media, Pure Gravy! We could hardly believe this revolutionary discovery, so we have decided to share it with all of you as well!

Visionary glitch wizard Jim Kimchi opens the door to a new dimension in glitch music with his Pure Gravy ep. One rife with intentional errors, programmed collapses, and crumbling structures set amidst dissolving holograms. A world in a perpetual state of disintegration, shown to you through many different lenses and angles. Each track seems built from impossibly complex structures, forever locked in a cannibalistic dance of consuming itself to make itself.
