ØEN Records is back with a special two track EP from up and coming Copenhagen based producer Fruit (@fruitdj). Originally from Iceland, but based in Denmark, Fruit has been making waves in the Copenhagen club scene with his eloquent DJ and live-sets. Following up his acclaimed 2019 Drømmeland EP he is finally back with two epic, fast-paced and euphoric tracks to light up the summer dance floors.

Drawing inspiration from myths and legends and particularly the Epic of Gilgamesh – a 4000 year old poem from ancient Mesopotamia – “Gilgamesh” is a hypnotic and trancey trip destined for the peak hours of the post-corona parties.

Created during the peak of the pandemic on an old half broken borrowed MacBook, the two distinct but kindred tracks are testament to Fruits unique production style, effortlessly navigating between euphoric fast-paced house, ambient soundscapes, hypnotic percussion and haunting atmospheres. Skillfully crafted and executed “Gilgamesh” is primed for both floor and mind.

Bristol-based producer Remotif has lovingly curated a selection of tunes from some of his favourite producers for Stranger Together, a VA compilation aimed at raising funds for the International Rescue Committee (IRC). 

IRC is currently assisting with emergency resettlement for Afghan refugees. Afghanistan is the single country most at risk of deteriorating humanitarian crises in 2022, and 100% of the profits from this release will provide uprooted families with tents, clean water, sanitation and other basic necessities.

This 11 track release taps into a diverse selection of dancefloor tracks from producers across the world, offering everything from uplifting melodic house to dark, psychedelic techno - and everything in between.  

VÉRE leads the charge, easing the listener in with a salvo of ethereal pads and breakbeats on Only Just, before passing the baton on to Maara for her dark and trippy roller Going All The Way Up. Dylan Forbes drops shimmering house number Feels Like, which segues nicely into the effervescent uptempo sparkle of Manami’s Sunbeams. 
Remotif’s emotive, Final Fantasy-inspired The Golden Shiny Wire of Hope continues this uplifting energy before giving way to DJ Life’s trademark Aussie tech-prog funk with The Barrens. Alphonse’s Still Eye offers a propulsive, skitterish breakbeat workout and Ciel & Roberto switch things up with the bass-heavy machine groove of Deep FM.  

Ramu’s Nothing Else To Do adds a dash of hyperkinetic acid and LUXE’s Level Up hits hard with some truly stomach-churning basslines. To round off the compilation, Boulderhead deploys his trademark flavor of lean, wiggy trance-not-trance with Leaf Power Up.

Standing united against social exclusion in order to contest cultures of isolation, racism, and discrimination, R4R organizes grassroots resistance and campaigns against the oppression of refugee communities in Germany and Europe enabling freedom of movement for the most marginalized. The compilation is free, but all proceeds will go directly to the Refugees4Refugees network.

O-Wells and 41ISSA have teamed up for their first joint EP. Marking 41ISSA's release debut, the result is four tracks full of speed and space-filling melodies: think big festival stage, think rave, think 2010 dance music (in the best possible way). Taking influences from their early clubbing years in the late noughties, O-Wells and 41ISSA found a mutual musical voice in a large and crisp sound between electro, techno and trance. Catchy melodies take the lead, backed by reverberating claps and relentless basslines that build up to rich club tracks.

Following up their initial Warning debut with a split single in 2020, we are pleased to welcome back the fierce combination of Sansibar and Reptant on Warning. For our annual 7” release we invited them to remix each others track in celebration of the friendship that binds us.

On the remix of Lizard Of Oz, Sansibar adds a catchy vocal sample and shifts the psychedelic electro vibe into more clubby territory. On the other hand, Reptant treats the subtle original by My Boom with his typical deep and penetrating production style. The result of these young geniuses coming together again is a thrilling spectacle for any lover of contemporary electro sound.

KI/KI’s slash label takes a deep dive into the history of hard trance and proudly presents a first re-issue of a true classic and personal favorite ‘Emerald’ by Swiss production group Artemis. Originally released back in 1995 on the Swiss label Atoom Records, it’s one of the most sought after gems from this era. At its fast pace of 180 bpm it’s impressive how subtle and dreamy the 9 minute journey is, a truly unique piece of hard trance history. This four-tracker, the first release on Sansibar’s 'Sin Sistema' imprint, borrows the best elements of formulas we love, and for a good reason.

‘We Rise’ a spiraling, mesmerizing infusion of yearning pads and a twisting acidic wormhole that leaves no room for doubt: this is Sans on form, and we have lift-off.

‘Elastic’ continues the lysergic theme, turning the dials towards a more sinister entity. Growing, realizing one’s power, and using it.

And on to the B-side, joining forces with Denzel, becoming ‘Sonic Minds’, getting into Techy territory. This is strictly festival business. Tried and tested throughout summer ’23 to devastating effect. Call an ambulance.

The final track ‘2k’ ups the Tech ante and sprinkles some murky UK Garage dust on top: skippy drums, a bouncy bass section, and dubby atmospheric

Popping The Cherry of 2020’s latest modern-contemporary record label; Step Ball Chain, is Roza Terenzi with “Stylish Tantrum”. Suggestive title to set the tone; the 5 track EP insisting sharp, sassy, high-tempered bombs with full bodied bounce. Unexpected tempo and timing variations, flared-up bpms, half time drum cuts and slicked modular flourishes, Terenzi’s signature cheek ramps up to an extra twisted club climate, atmospheric and evocative in texture as always. Featuring collaborations with D. Tiffany and Saoirse, the release covers extended dancefloor territory, assertive anthems delivering femme finesse, choreographed to perfection.

The A side fires up with an exuberant 4-by-4-2-the-floor routine, Cosmology. Vocal cuts from the queen Fiorella, billowing bells and dramatic synthetic sweeps to form fluidity over the tight bouncy low end. Whilst flirtatious melodic notions come and go, zip-lock percussion and commanding drumwork hold it down; squeaky steeze not-so-politely letting you know what’s to come. Deceivingly dubwise introductions soon furiously interrupted with Stylish Tantrum. Ricochet rhythms and bone breaking clap backs echo around your head, electrifying percussive fills and vocal spills snatching your attention before the everything glues together vicious harmony, baseline pulsating underneath a whiplash drum display - one for the dangerous deejays.

Chosen Family Feud opens the B side, a collab with seasoned associate @d-tiffany, showing off a bossy stomping brigade. Mumbling voices, waspy sirens and spooked out synth lines haunt the beginnings of the track, stripping back to a bassline breakdown before wailing vocals and clattered percussion take over, cymbals bursting. B2 is a moment to reflect, Illusions brings the energy down, low slung metallic backbeats thrown over encompassing, effortless pads and soaring resonance. The downtempo atmosphere crept up on by a double time d’n’b re-jig, softly gliding in over the growling sub, chopped breaks reflecting and falling. Closing out the record is another joint effort, recorded in Melbourne with @saoirsemusic ; Sxc saloon dashing back to the dancefloor, hot and deep. Throbbing bass married with slick galloping drums, sensuous fleeting whispers looping to draw you into hypnosis before a climactic tempo plummet intended to turn heads.

STEP01 is kicking its heels up, stomping, strutting and trailblazing for what’s to come.

2020 was definitely a sad year for club culture, but it reminded us of the importance of sharing in our communities, especially in the times to come. So, what better way to start 2021 than inviting a bunch of talented crafters around the anvil? We’re thrilled to unveil the fourth volume of the ‘Crysta Ampullaris’ series: an eclectic blend of works by friends, artists we love and – as usual – La Forge’s core producer unit.
More ambitious, this extended compilation brings together 13 tracks from top-tier French producers Saint-James, Scarlet, Aval Douar, Atomic Moog, Vina Konda, JKS and Raven, as well as Swiss army knife Hermeth, alongside regular blacksmiths Shonen Bat, Nigm, Ayuji, Slowglide and Lebird. It results in a wide-ranging and emotionally charged patchwork of highly energetic breakbeats, electro and techno bangers, deep introspective explorations and futuristic sonic oddities. Like a hopeful prayer for our beloved dancefloors to re-open soon !

Hypnotic Discotheque is a Jerusalem based DIY party night and rave crew, an artist collective and a network of DJ’s that share a common vision, in and outside of troubled Jerusalem. 
This V/A compilation is the collective’s second release following last year's WFTG VOL 1 that featured original tracks from the crew’s founding members.  

Featuring on Working for the Government VOL 2 are key figures and close relatives of the Hypnotic family. 
This compilation represents Hypnotic’s wide and diverse musical and cultural identity - bringing together noise-heads, clubers, nature dewllers and outsiders. 

The premiered track Safra Raving Krew is a playful and dynamic banger by Tel Aviv's rising star and Tofistock’s main man Olsvangér.  The tune tries to capture some of those late and strange morning moments that makes Hypnotic discotheque's dancefloors so fragile yet perfect.
