Part of btf x rx​:​tx compilation, which was created in a collaboration between two promoters of “all things beats”: Beat the Future, a show on Radio808 & a club night from Zagreb, and rx:tx, a label from Ljubljana. It's beats, it's bass, it's bleeps in the broadest sense and it is primarily a showcase of local production, mostly by young and relatively unknown artists from the region. @sunnysun is an talented DJ and producer based in Ljubljana, with roots tracing back to both Syria and Croatia. He is also the founder of "BigNose" record shop located in the center of Ljubljana, which serves as a hub for alternative culture. Sunny’s 21. Episode from Bignose Records, this time with special guest "Dragu"! It was recorded live at @agregat.privat festival in Slovenia. Police came and shut down the loud techno music.. so we’ve put mattress on the dance floor so all people could chill with quiet music in beautiful nature of Slovenia. Dragu started to play this lovely ambient and downtempo set, which we didn’t know and we actually needed more than techno at that time. So thanks to the police we had a wonderful night where Dragu played 8 hours straight! So here you can listen to the first hour of his mix. Today 17.00 EU and 18.00 Palestinian Time.

Maybe you remember the “Living Room” stage at the Butik Festival in Slovenia—the moment when a vortex of love was created by beautiful people and magic selectors. One of the highlights of that stage was Femdelic’s set. She effortlessly shifts between all the delicious flavours of funk: electro-boogie, afro, bubblegum music, 80s breakdance, modern funk styles, RnB, house, disco, and plenty more gems galore. These are the kind of vibes where music and movement can express not only wild, raw energy, but also be healing and unifying at the same time. Ain’t no half-steppin’ here!

All in all, an unorthodox whiz who's never afraid of gazing into different directions and is never limiting himself to just one side of hip hop. Here's the second installment of the Sunstrumental, a raw-dirty-neck breakin'-instrumental-beats 7'' series by the tireless hiphop multitasker Sunnysun. As the journey continues, all the signs point towards a classic, dope on plastic trilogy in the making... 

The tracks on this double sider are still banged out on his MPC. Vol. 2 kicks off with "Fizikal Funk", a nod to the school of boom bap with a rhythmical twist. The title of the flip side "Dance Battle" unambiguously tells it all. It reflects Sunny's heavy immersion in the hiphop dance community. 

Sunnysun is an all-rounder: as a teenager he quickly established himself as a versatile MC with impeccable freestyle skills, then shifted towards deejaying and when he's not dealing seeds and other growing equipment, producing rap videos or setting up his record shop, he's tapping on his MPC. It's a 360 degrees hiphop hustle.
