sometimes I have trouble finding myself it’s like I can get so disconnected from my sense of being and it can be quite difficult to get back I feel like it happens so often that i start to lose track of what is really me and what is not how can I even answer a question of who I am truthfully when I can’t fathom a correct answer it baffles me that there are people who just know who they are they know their beliefs and who they are integrally I know realistically most people probably aren’t actually that solid in themselves but I guess I aspire to be that I feel as though my self changes constantly depending on my current situation I adapt I suppose I’m very good at that I can adapt and fit in almost anywhere even with people I despise I don’t know if this is a skill I should feel proud of or if it needs to be treated because it is some learned trauma response I think it’s probably the latter I suppose it is for protection at the end of the day how can I break apart something that is so deeply ingrained in me and still keep my sanity how do I know I wont lose my sanity regardless am I doomed a life of constant questioning and personality changes based off of whatever stupid tv show I am watching at the time how can I possibly find the answers I am looking for and hold onto them for long enough to actually matter it’s like trying to catch a fish with you bare hands the second you try to tighten your grip it slips away perhaps I will try getting a fishing pole instead
