Sunexplosions label head Cary Crank opens a portal with Inner Atlas—a transportive cut where organic percussion, shimmering pads and sky‑bound harmonies guide listeners into other worlds. True to his signature, the original leans into analog warmth and a strong sense of narrative flow, shaped by years spent in the Frankfurt scene that nurtured his sound. The release is completed by two distinctive remixes: Kyotto, the Sri Lankan artist known for his melodic storytelling and underground sound, and CAMILA (AR), a rising talent from Argentina whose hypnotic progressive style is gaining international attention. Together they deliver a diverse and immersive EP that captures the essence of modern Progressive House.

Titeknots returns in 2017 with wide spectrum club music for more adventurous DJs and listeners. Pushing on with the themes established in previous releases, these tracks walk a twisting line between ambitiously expansive orchestral textures and physical, focused club productions. 

DJs across the spectrum have shown love to Titeknots – from Monki, Gilles Peterson, Benji B and Phil Taggart on the Radio, to club favourites like Bonobo, Bondax, Mano Le Tough, Tom Trago and Todd Edwards. These productions connect to people whether they are listening on headphones at home or pushing through big club crowds at peak time. 

“Mustard Flower” has been a key highlight of Titeknots DJ sets for a while now, with many crowd requests for info whenever it’s been played. Based around a hooky plucked riff, the track blossoms into a warm and euphoric leftfield dancefloor weapon. 

“Help Out When You Can” follows, with the focus now on a delicate piano melody. Surrounded by tough drums and soaring strings, this track shows off the widescreen sound palette and varied dynamic arrangements that are the Titeknots calling card.

Though some of these tracks have become breakout singles in their own right – collectively clocking more than two million plays on the band's Soundcloud and YouTube channels – Ultraísta Remixes has been perfectly sequenced to succeed as a stand-alone album (an alarmingly strong one, no less). Rarely do remix albums have this level of quality control and seemingly infinite replay value. Whereas Ultraísta's debut album commits to its palette with uncanny precision and devotion, Remixes explodes its individual parts and reveals the group to be equally compelling as techno powerhouse (Four Tet, FaltyDL, DC Sux), dark electro-pop (Zero 7, Zammuto, ERAAS, Canon Blue), experimental dance (Prefuse 73, Matthew Herbert), and even driving industrial rock (David Lynch in an inspired NIN-meets-YYYs turn). The combination of all of these seemingly disparate parts makes for a surprisingly cohesive whole, and a remarkable companion to the original album.
