Sun Salutation is a high energy and soulful synthesis of Rock, Funk, Blues, Reggae, Dub, Electronic percussion and sampling. Born on the the third coast of the US, the band quickly gained both popularity and a dedicated fan base. Realizing their music was resonating with just about everyone who had ears, the band went to work creating their first EP "Whims of the Great Magnet," followed by their first full length studio album "Stand Sideways." 
In 2009 Sun Salutation picked up and moved to Austin to immerse themselves in the beautiful landscape of music and dedicated artistry. Living in a city that sees some of the best music the world has to offer has profoundly affected the band. Inspired and determined Sun Salutation headed into the studio to produce a body of work that would earn them their place, 2013's "Something Sacred" is exactly that album. From high energy rock and groove to melodic and meaningful, this is what making music is about. 
Feeling high off the success of their sophomore record, Sun Salutation had to up their game and produce their best and most polished songwriting to date. After two years of playing shows and writing 2015 saw them go back into the studio to record their third and best work yet... Spirals. This album is a combination of all the years of dedication to music and songwriting. From start to finish Spirals is a record that is honest and true, and it will take you on a journey that leaves you satisfied and energized. Spirals is stripped down, raw and sincere. It's exactly what Sun Salutation does best.. play from the heart.
