In a coalition of supreme electronic talent, scene heroes Like Mike and Ginchy join forces with a plethora of top producers to release a remix package of their single ‘Avalon’ with the powerful vocals of Alessia Labate.

‘Avalon’ lands on Like Mike’s Smash The House sub-label Green Room; a self-constructed realm for solo projects in the progressive sound space, with a personal touch of urban flair. Inviting Ginchy to the label, the studio stalwarts in unison conjure a deeply hypnotic soundscape on ‘Avalon’ which merges hip-winding deep house rhythms into a melodic after-dark techno-infused progression. Self-labelled ‘unconventional pop dance vocal diva’ Alessia Labate lures the listener in even further with her ethereal vocal overlay which mirrors a classic sultry melody and takes the enigmatic energy of ‘Avalon’s production to even greater lengths.

Now, a few months down the line, Like Mike enlists the help of a crack team of producers to rejuvenate ‘Avalon’ in time for club season this year. Tapping up the likes of Chris Lowone, DIZET, Dum K, Mr. Moudz, Navon and SSR, Like Mike has curated an all-encompassing remix package for this track which touches on sounds further down the progressive route, as well as future house, afro house, as well as harder styles and more.

How It Feels

Being in love with music his whole life, Giorgos Derekopoulos joined the Club scene, in 2004, as a DJ and became known as Sunset Derek. 
As a teenager ,the musical influences that he received at that time, and in particular the ’90s, along with his passion for collecting vinyl’s, cassette’s and cd’s from HipHop,Rock,Metal,Rave,Trance,House worked catalytically.
Sunset Derek was motivated to further his Dj career he started experimenting with his own music production and in 2010 his first official release comes out from The Sound Of Everything records . Then he collaborates with Royal Events and paves the way for weekly parties in several hot venues of Athens at that time such as Sixx, Mamacas, Animal, Dybbuk, Akrotiri, Drazel, Boutique and with a lot’s of guest performances all over the Greece and Cyprus. 
2022 was great for him with 50 events in many places of Greece with peaks in Mykonos at Void club along with Alec Monopoly and in Limassol,Cyprus at LMF festival with 8.000 people.
2023 is even better for him.Νew banger track "Elevate" from global Go Deeva records featuring a talent guy T.Georgoudis with support from Armen Miran,Steve Bug,Kate Zubok and many more..In the summer he did 60 events in almost all of Greece and Cyprus and 3 great residencies at 3 Top club/bar in Athens (Juan Rodriguez,Noah,Contrabando)

It has over 30 releases in Greek and foreign labels such Go Deeva,Frisky and more. He has shared the decks with worldwide dj’s such as Nicole Moudaber, Kiko Navarro, Martin Roth, Daniel Bortz, Kenny Karpenter and acclaimed Greeks.Also always expect new music from Sunset Derek.
