It was way back in 2005 that Lost & Found Productions hosted the first Heartbeat event at an amazing local retail space which for one magical night was converted into a stunning party full of gorgeous people. 

The better part of a decade later, Heartbeat still thrives and generates a stunning party full of gorgeous people! With our fresh fabric art installation courtesy of Deliria, bodypainting by Urbanheart and a HUGE lineup of Sunset Labs artists and our longtime family member DJ DUST, the night took shape.

For the last eleven years, Davin Greenwell, otherwise known as AFK, has been pushing the progressive sound. Davin has been heavily involved in the West Coast electronic music scene through many years of community and FM radio, club and events promotion, and now most prominently with Pacific Front Recordings (PFR), a music label he operates with Justin Humber (aka Formulate). His performances, once under the name "ariz0na," have been regarded as legendary by many.

Yoseff has been spinning since 1995, and he has played events all over Canada. Kind of a quiet fellow, he is known for smooth transitions in his music, endeavoring to be both melodic and technical. DJ's and dancers alike do tend to agree that when he is playing the planets line up and something wonderful happens. These days he is back to playing with heavy filtered bass and his melodies are both an emotional and enchanting experience. His first club residency was on Saturday nights at The Limit in Victoria, BC, with the late, great Brent Carmichael. They were also Saturday night residents at HUSH, he was a resident at the infamous Spincat Club in Toronto, and a resident of long-standing Ph1 events at club Sonar in Vancouver. Yoseff headlined Shambhala a bunch of times on the Main Stage and the Trance Stages. He was also a regular at the bi-monthly SPEC parties on Vancouver Island during the first five years of the millennium, spinning meticulously orchestrated three hour progressive sets for that slave-driver of a promoter Jimmi Fritz. Get ready to rediscover Yoseff!

Dust began his DJ career in the frozen north of British Columbia in Prince George. Shortly after discovering his love of electronic music, he quickly felt the need to give back to the community through music and promotion. Dust began promoting with Vinylution Productions before becoming a resident and co-founded PGPK Productions with Scott Wright. Before long Dust became a leading DJ in Prince George and surrounding cities playing a variety of music from progressive to house and breakbeat. In the summer of 2004 Dust left the north for the sunnier shores of Victoria where he continues to DJ to enthusiastic audiences at various clubs, afterhour establishments and parties in and around the capital region.

Dotched love of electronica was fueled growing up in Saskatchewan and regularly attending Connect Festival and Galaxy Lounge nights hosted by Dekoze & Dr.J. After moving to Victoria he helped found a popular community radio show on CFUV called Really Good Music along with Rave Victoria originator Davin Greenwell/AFK. The show soon went to commercial airwaves on extreme 107.3 where it hosted the likes of John Digweed, Timo Maas, Moby, Hybrid, Paul Van Dyk and Tiesto. This played a part in his becoming an early host and contributor to the Victoria Electronic Festival. Dotched has always played an eclectic mix of music, from house & progressive, moving into techhouse and techno and now playing a blend of French Electro, Techno and Nu-Disco! Prepare to rediscover this long-time Victoria beatmaker.

On a beautiful May 4th evening the "Raize the Hoof" Tour arrived in Victoria with Lynx, Buckman Coe - and the ever-inspiring (and equally ridiculous) The Tailor!  Joining forces to raise funds & awareness for the White Crow Farm Project, these generous and committed musicians packed the dance floor for a long night of bliss. The first thing you notice in the Tailor's music is the texture. 
It is Sensual, wound with found sounds swept from dusty floors of the world. Wrapped in ribbon and whisper, holler and moan, it borrows from the blues, and travels through the desert, with a bass banjo and beatbox broken in just the right way.

His legendary Live performances have been delighting, confounding and seducing audiences across the West Coast for more years than he would care to admit. Highlights include residency at Shambhalah Living Stage for the last ten years, an opening slot for a Beats Antique tour, and playing the Fusion festival in Berlin.

This year will be his busiest Touring schedule to date, and two Ep releases planned, and travel up and down the west coast and europe. His music has been featured on many soundtracks, including the short film Bury him in the Desert, the cooking show the Perennial plate, a crazy swedish fishing documentary, and a number of racy love scenes. of course. 

His last album " The Salt " is an ocean faery tale, about a man who leaves to cross the sea and begin a new life for his family, but goes down in a storm, and can only return after a long dance with the siren queen. It blends elements of Balkan Beat, Orchestral Folk, and Ambient Sounds into dark blue sea of an album.
