Time had no manners
As it stole all of the moments away
I tried to get back a fleeting few

Halo

Yesterday I heard a knock and when I opened my door
It was my neighbor, come to say hello
He said he was concerned he saw my car parked no engine turned 
For two weeks straight just wanted to make sure I was okay

I said I just need some space
From the world and that awful rat race
That never ceases to take place
With that his face was shaped into a half grin
 his eyes gazed as if to say he understand the pain

He said I should come down to the old town pub around eight to see his band play
And seeing me would be great
I said I would consider maybe after I have some dinner I joked if I got thinner 
I might just whither 

He said: one more thing, don’t let this world take your wings
Come sing laugh and dance and pay attention to good things
If you lose your focus - blurry is shape of all things hopeless
So adjust your lens, take this seed -  you reap what you sew kid

I shut the door and sank to the floor a sensation hit my core
I thought I was out of tears now there’s more
I was hoping  I would grow so cold, to never have to hold the load
Of raw emotion piercing at my soul 

I don’t  how long I was stuck, but I finally was able to get up
I managed to feed myself, but not much
I searched my mess to find a dress, or anything that would impress
The face in the mirror that tells me I have nothing left

I shut off my lights and went outsideI locked my door and checked it twice, 
Surprisingly the air felt nice
I turn the key, then sighed so deep the car is still fast asleep - I must have left the lights on  and killed the battery
A passerby saw my plight stopped her car right next to mine grabbed her cables and threw me a line
The connection did the trick, my engines switch was flicked - it was such an electrifying gift 
I got out of my car, I thanked this woman from my heart, she smiled wide, teeth bright and lips apart 

She said:

We are meant to lift each other up
After all we’re all family and everyone needs love 
And if you lose your footing there are people there for you
Take this seed and plant it deep, you reap what you sew kid
