Born and raised on Chicago’s south side, aspiring pop artist and music composer, Sunshine Notez, continues the childhood talents she began at the age of 4. Dancing and singing has been running through her veins for many years now, it runs in the family. As the music notes flow from her thoughts to the page, she expresses herself through her lyrics, with the intention of connecting with her audience. Notez, 21, recalls that hot summer day in the back seat of her grandmothers purple Camero, as she sang her little lungs out. It was that day that her grandmother discovered Notez true musical talent. Soon after, Notez was participating in talent shows and plays, exercising her passion for music, which continued on throughout high school. Notez was inspired by the musical talents of famous pop artists such as Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. Her musical sounds are focused primarily within the genre of pop music. In college, Notez majored in pre-med, but soon dropped out to pursue her interest in music, and chased her dream of becoming a famous pop artist.

Notez, current project is her six track E.P. and hot new single that will be soon released in 2015. Sunshine is working with producer Spaceman and several other producer to complete her project successfully. Sunshine future plans are to go on tour and perform world –wide over the world, doing what she loves “Entertaining”.

01 Lets Talk

We live in a world of expectation – what to wear, how to act, what to say, who we ought to be.  However, there are a few that strive to be the exception.  They set the trends, they push the boundaries of what is expected, and in doing so, they are comfortable with what would seem uncomfortable – they are who they are.  In the music world, to achieve this is no easy feat, just ask aspiring pop and R&B artist Sunshine Notez.

From the humble urban dwellings of southside Chicago, and of a family rich in musical talent, Sunshine Notez’ rise to artistic maturity started at the young age of 4 where she fondly remembers singing to her grandma in her purple Camero.  Upon realizing her potential, she dove headfirst into performance, singing at talent shows and plays throughout her schooling life.  

With this can-do attitude, and sheer passion for what she does, Notez has been able to carve a sound that is captivating, and daring.  Her single “WereWolf” howls powerfully, hitting pitch perfect notes akin to that of legends Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, and Beyonce; all of whom Notez resonates with.  “Let’s Talk”, her second hit, is of a similar vein, oozing raw emotion and flair, and with lyrics which highlights Notez and her intention to express what so many want to, but cannot.

Today, there is much upon the horizon for Sunshine Notez as she toils fervently towards the release of her upcoming EP, due out this year.
