Sometimes it's those moments when going up the stairs, smelling the beautiful outdoors and not really knowing what is at the top. Where does this lead? A grave? A mansion? Glory?

Blankets at Night

Beat destruction and jerking around with the Make Noise Phonogene. All modulation, slicing, selection, loading, etc done via Ableton Live and MOTU UltraLite. It's the anti modular approach to modular synth exploration since no other modules were used. Yes, this all could have been done inside Ableton Live via plugins, but try downloading a Phonogene and see how far you get.

If the sound is distorted, it's the result of Soundcloud's sweet digital distortion plugin (compression). The download version may sound better.

Demo of Ciat Lonbarde Cocoquantus being used on the output of the BugBrand modular. Set up a quick patch and fed the resulting stereo pair into the CQ, CQ into the mixer then played the patch and the CQ. The CQ was much better in this scenario than I anticipated, I doubt its the sort of music that it would be used on too often which is why I decided to upload it. 
Nothing else used, its just Cocoquantus and BugBrand recorded as a live take to Casette (Sony DM6C).

Should of maybe tried to do a propper take as listening back now the patch sounds quite nice.

SV Filter work out, BugBrand Modular

Interesting bit about this one (and the reason I upload it) is that the only sound source is a filter, Yep, all sounds played are from a single SVFilter, and not multitracked either, the whole thing is the filter wobbling around and getting pinged.

The filter is triggered via an envelope from the Seq8+ expander module to get a 16 step sequence, then its CV'd and FM'd and stuff with clock divders opening VCA's for the FM. I mult the bandpass out and send 1 through the freq shifter, pass a feed of that through the PT delay. Stereo pair is passed through Ciat Lonbarde Cocoquantus and then into mixer with Eventide Space on an aux send. Recorded as a single pass onto cassette.
