Amsterdam’s mayo is a musical multiped, whose path is rather unruly than unlogical. Her DJ sets, as well as her first releases, prove that she’s not easy to pigeonhole. With a focus on downtempo electronics, EBM and techno, she weaves together a wide array of musical styles.
Taking music lessons at a young age, she discovered she couldn't commit to one program. By playing the drums, the guitar, and the saxophone, she worked towards a playfield of her own. Inspired by many musical styles, ranging from punk to reggaeton, mayo eventually moved towards DJing and music production, which would channel her unstoppable energy best. With whatever available to her, she managed to brew her experimental sounds into electronic punk music carrying her uncompromised disposition of character.
After years of programming in the dark, mayo recently offered her debut EP “Sad Violin Music” (United Identities), as well as her first track releases, “SloMos” (Marguerite Records) and “Suc666” (brokntoys). These three releases present her unapologetic approach, her sense for detail and hunch for sound design. Her self-built synths take the lead in her sonic journeys. Following the ghosts in her cables, she creates immersive tracks, driven by sinister drum programming.

For this 70th Premiere of 2023, we have a track by the DJ and producer based in Berlin "DJ Locati" titled ‘Ciao Mama, Goodbye’ from the forthcoming VA Compilation "Superbrains" on the Electronic music company/label based in Berlin, Germany, promoting music and events since June 2008 : Killekill.

Uwe Locati is a DJ and producer based in Berlin. He has an extraordinary sense for melodies and instinctive musical intuition. For 3 years he's been an integral part of the Ick Mach Welle crew.

“Superbrains'' is a showcase for the Berlin-based, inclusive music project Ick Mach Welle (@ickmachwelle), an initiative which has been bringing together musicians, with and without visible disabilities, for the last 5 years. Featuring solo artists and musical collaborations with very different approaches to creating music, this compilation highlights the results of the workshops and mentoring programs provided by Ick Mach Welle throughout these years. The tracks featured on this release range across the musical spectrum from the wildly experimental, to dub and electronica, to driving techno and rave, reflecting the diversity of the participants and the inclusivity of the Ick Mach Welle project. The emotions revealed through the music
contained herein provide the listener with an insight into the lives of the people who created them, people whose voices far too often go unheard.
The artwork comes from Brussels artist Elzo Durt, who has provided Killekill with his psychedelic collages several times in recent years.

Descripción: El níquel es un metal de transición cuyo número atómico es 28 y su símbolo es Ni. Es plateado, brillante y resistente a la corrosión, lo que lo hace útil en una variedad de aplicaciones industriales, desde la fabricación de acero inoxidable hasta baterías recargables. Además, es un elemento importante en la producción de monedas y joyería. Sin embargo, el contacto prolongado con el níquel puede causar alergias en algunas personas. A nivel esotérico, el níquel se asocia con la energía de la manifestación y la atracción de la prosperidad material. Se cree que su presencia en objetos como amuletos o joyas puede potenciar la capacidad de atracción de la riqueza y la abundancia. Algunas tradiciones también sugieren que el níquel puede ayudar a equilibrar las energías del cuerpo y la mente, promoviendo la armonía y el bienestar espiritual.

Qasio es un productor y DJ nacido en Santiago de Chile y radicado desde 2020 en Berlín, Alemania. Tanto sus producciones como sus sets consisten en una cuidadosa selección de sonidos que combinan elementos del industrial, electro, house y techno. El uso de una amplia gama de sintetizadores oscuros y profundos, samples atmosféricos y efectos para generar capas y texturas complejas contribuyen a la creación de paisajes sonoros distópicos. Durante el año 2022, Qasio lanzó "Black Minerals EP" con el sello Sismo Music, propiedad del destacado DJ y productor uruguayo Omar, y "Sky Patrol EP" a través del sello italiano 3no Records, ambos en formato de 12.
