In the years that followed, publishers and developers strived to outdo one another year after year, creating larger maps and allowing more players to roam them. Everything has changed thanks to a random survival game launching with a half-baked Battle Royale mode. These days, if a game doesn't offer an expansive cooperative or competitive option, something is wrong, despite how tacked on and out of place the resulting experience would be. This trend doesn't seem to be losing steam any time soon, but will hype for Battle Royale modes eventually dwindle? You never really know where your decisions will bring you, regardless of your plans and the steps you take. The specifics of the journey toward goals, dreams, and aspirations are still a great mystery. Some say that we are not defined by our intentions but by our actions. How greatly does what we do impact who we are and who we will eventually become? Are avid readers always more intelligent with no friends? Can a true gamer avoid becoming a toxic and violent member of society? Along with inexplicably constantly being covered in flour, is diabetes a prerequisite for becoming a baker?
