After two days of exhausting construction of the festival site, we were unexpectedly caught out by a long, heavy downpour in the morning of the festival. Despite the adverse conditions and the lack of roofing on the site, we decided not to deviate from the plan and to go through with it. This was rewarded, the rain stopped just in time for the start of the festival and the sun came out in phases for the start of my set. It stayed dry for the rest of the festival. I wanted to express these circumstances and the joy of the happy ending in my set. With the second playtime, it was to be a smooth opener and transition from tech house to house with potential to go even harder for the following acts.

I played a bit harder and with more vocals than I usually do. Because of the late playtime and the energy I felt in the crowd, I wanted to do a steady progression from Afrohouse to melodic techno and in parts techno. At sunset, I also wanted to bring in an emotional component with "Rhythm of the night" and some more melodic stuff. The mixing got a bit wild over time, as one or two drinks found their way to me ;-)

Long story short:
Once again, we went through all the phases of organizing the event. From the valley of tears to pure ecstasy, everything was there. In the end it was a premiere that we couldn't have imagined any better.

Long story:
It started with a set-up in pouring rain, storms and hail. It was unthinkable that in less than 24 hours a summer daydance would take place here. The adverse weather conditions slowed down the build up progress enormously on Friday, so we knew it was going to be an extremely challenging Saturday morning. Nevertheless, we ended the evening with a nightcap in the city, which further damaged our already battered sleep rhythm.

Thanks to a quick-witted and very committed group of helpers, we pulled off the miracle and practically set up the entire site on Saturday, even an hour before the doors opened. It wasn't an easy one, since it was our first event in this location and we had quite challenging requirements from the city. Once the approval by the city was in the bag, we could breathe a sigh of relief for the first time.

And then the euphoria and joy about this team achievement knew no bounds. The first guests arrived and the weather got better and better. The atmosphere was relaxed, peaceful and thoroughly happy. With my set, I wanted to create a groovy and relaxed start to this dayrave that still encouraged people to dance. My enthusiasm for Afrohouse has grown over the last few years, so more and more tracks were added, which suited this setup perfectly.

My enthusiasm for Aperol Spritz was also sparked at this event and with its support I danced through all the sets of my DJ colleagues.

Where did the heroes go?

A hero is a rescuer, someone who liberates others from difficult situations and brings them back to life. For me, these are the ones who, after long, exhausting days and weeks, pull me out of everyday life for a while and make me forget everything. Those who let me dance through the nights and fill my soul with freedom, peace, and love.

The more I delved into the topic of heroes, the clearer my conception of it became, and the characteristics were hardly fulfillable by a third person anymore.

Therefore, the time has come to don the cape myself, even if I don't correspond at all to the general ideal image of a hero.

That's why I see myself as the SUPER ANTI HERO.
