It’s been a while since we did a release and we’ve been sitting on this one for far too long so in a valiant effort to get the fractal machine back up to full speed for when the clubs reopen here in the UK we decided to get a little taster of the inevitable trade deal our American friends are going to give us for our next release.

Hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, DECONTROL has been cooking up bangers for the last decade, featuring on our “Just A Cacophony Of Random Noise” compilation along with releases on Mindocracy, Devil Times Nine and Big Riddim he always hits that distinct deep-fried USA flavour of Drum & Bass perfectly. It's that tried and tested recipe - a base combination of heavily compressed amens and extra fat basslines, garnished with a fistful of rap samples - but the classics recipes never die, allowing DECONTROL to serve you three courses stuffed full of your favourite ingredients.

Opening track “Street Mentality” draws you in with an old school hip hop introduction scratching classic rap samples around a screeching gangsta synth line before picking up the energy with a siren build up and finishing you off with choppy blast beat drums and distorted basslines.

“Shots From The Underground” begins with atmospheric drones and sparse percussion before a distorted bass builds to a heavy rolling drop. The most dancefloor oriented song of the release this one is guaranteed to add a big dose of energy into any party.

Don’t let the soft strings in the intro of the final track fool you as “Simple Murder” quickly morphs itself into a distorted barrage of sound moments after it begins building into a half time twisted hip hop style first drop whilst saving the dirty 4x4 crossbreed kicks for the ultimate payoff in the second half, to all you DJ’s who enjoy starting heavy this is a banging opener.

바쁜 일상을 끝내고 휴식을 취할 겸 영화를 찾다가, 저는 ‘서브스턴스’라는 영화를 보고 충격을 먹었어요.

영화 속 주인공이 또 다른 나와 갈등하는 장면이 나오는데, 참 인상적이더라구요.

영화를 다 보고 나니 딱 이런 생각이 들었네요,

‘자기 자신을 사랑하자.’

그리고 그 충격과 영감을 고스란히 가져와 곡에 담아보았습니다.

다들 오늘 하루도 자기 자신을 사랑하며, 즐겁게 들어주셨으면 좋겠습니다!

After finishing a busy day and looking for a movie to relax, I watched a film called Substance and was truly shocked.

There’s a scene where the main character clashes with another version of themselves, and it left a strong impression on me.

After watching the whole movie, this thought came to mind -

“Love yourself.”

I channeled that shock and inspiration directly into a track.

I hope everyone can love themselves today,
and enjoy listening.

Straight outta the west coast comes Bloodclot with his rapid fire amen breaks, deep subs, 808s and euphoric dance pianos n stabs. Starting out in 2017 with his inital release, "Predators EP" on the UK's very own Core Collective Records, he quickly caught the eye of Australia's ENDE Records for another release, "Tomorrow Never Comes EP".

In 2020, amidst the 'rona, he's been silently working on various tracks to showcase them on numerous online festivals such as Hardcore Junglists United, rAmen Break, Unaffiliated, Lucky Lotus, Solid Sound FM and After Midnight!

He seems to bring something a little different each time to keep things fresh and erratic like his production and mixing style. Though the golden age of breakcore is long gone, he plans on introducing a new generation of ravers and junglists to the clash!
