@dobrovinyl are set to release the third edition of their excellent vinyl series and for this outing they have brought together the combined skills of @inervadim and @saintpaulmoonrise for two tracks apiece. It's an EP which veers between fun synth led house and funk fueled disco edged house groove. With bags of feel good running though it's veins it's another strong release for this Russian label and should follow it's predecessors up to the top of the sales charts on release.

Norm De Plume enrols Rotterdam based Ben La Desh for a joint 4-track EP (vinyl-only).
There’s an original track from each of them with both producers swapping remixes to round
off this uniquely collaborative release.

A1 Roll On sees Norm De Plume move into deeper territory – gone is the cut & loop
sampling in favour of his own musical composition comprising simple synth melodies &
chugging synth chords layered over organic, dusty drum patterns & a rolling bass line. The
track then breaks to introduce a transposed extended bridge which builds and grooves along
to the same 3 note melody, before dropping back to the original key & groove and the final
outro section. Simple but effective we’re sure you’ll agree!

AA1 Lotion is a return to the deep, slo-mo sounds of Ben La Desh at his finest. Tight,
grooving drums support layer upon layer of lush pads and syncopated synth & guitar lines -
all underpinned by a rumbling bassline with a beautiful jazz vocal on top that’s both pretty and
sad at the same time.

A2 Lotion (Norm De Plume Remix) Norm’s take on Ben’s original is sparse and deep, an
extended intro featuring his signature hard-hitting & swinging drums supporting a lovely
running guitar line from the original, present throughout. Things take a slightly dark turn with
the introduction a heavily effected organ, before the bass drops and the track reveals itself in
full.

AA2 Roll On (Ben La Desh Remix) Ben’s mix has his typical deep & tropical vibe. He’s
managed to retain the swinging and rolling feel of the original perfectly with his drums & synth
parts but also introduced a melodic breakdown and running synth parts which both add a
special & extra dimension.

Superconcious present a further evolution for Melbourne producer András. Looney house recorded with DIY immediacy, this fresh 5 tracker takes subtle cues from Cajmere, Pal Joey and lesser known 90s Australian cuts culled from the 3RRR FM library. 'T.N.T.F.' was the fastest track András had even written until revving the Pajero offroad and clocking 138 bpm on 'Always Pumping'. On the two mixes of 'Gold Coast', he finds heaven in a tourist hell, making hotel room acid before hitting the balcony for some cool breakbeat over a Bacardi and coke. The absurdity continues with the horny-Australiana disco of 'Soy Boy', rounding off a welcome return to his inimitable solo work.

Delsin's re-issue arm is back with a timely release of classic Norken material. Featuring on the EP is the cult 'Southern Soul' - originally released on REEL Discs in 1998 - plus 'More Frequencies' and 'Shifting Towards', two tracks from his 1999 album 'Soul Static Bureau'. Norken, of course, is Lee Norris, best known as Metamatics and a producer with a fine discography that takes in proper deep house, sleek minimal and atmospheric dub.
