If any adjective can easily describe SuperF111’s Richard Foster it’s ‘persistent’.  Richard was born in Nottingham, England to working class parents who migrated to Australia and lived in many different parts of Victoria.  He was one of four children and had to constantly compete for attention.  His family constantly moved around so he became fiercely independent at an early age.  He was first exposed to some of the most influencial rock/metal bands of the 70’s, the likes of Kiss, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin and Van Halen.  As a result, his first singing experience was as lead singer in an Iron Maiden tribute band!  Not an easy task by anyone’s standards but he quickly fell in love with music and being in front of an audience.  After fronting a string of bands including The Shining, Warcraft, One and Blue Granite and covering genres such as pop, blues, jazz, funk, metal, rock and alternative, Richard began writing and performing as a solo artist in 2009.  With over 100 original songs completed and stacks more to come, there is no doubt Richard will soon make his mark on the world music stage.
