Next up we have some weekend artillery from Belfast men Ejeca & Chris Hanna, who join forces to create an EP of missiles all aimed squarely at those darker floors.

Chris takes first honors with his whopper “Gimme More”, which jacks along with swinging percussion and a pulsing bass until it reaches it’s mammoth drop. The haunting driving vocals really add to an overall eerie feel and we love that little sine sound, which reminds us of vintage Peacefrog.

Ejeca gets on his studio machines for an après weekend workout to create a stripped back body jacker, we do believe there was “Sweat Involved” making this bad boy. We absolutely love Garry in raw techno mode, simplistic in approach here (dare we say minimal), yet sounds mammoth in a club… Skills!

On closer “Commando” the two lads share production duties and their love of Schwarzenegger movies and really push things further into out there territories, the synths in this are beautifully bonkers and the dubby approach completes this trippy electronics package perfectly. If you like your electronics from the darker side, get on these pronto…

We are happy to welcome back a long time friend of our label and the family: DANIEL PORTMAN returns to Enormous Tunes after quite a while with this overwhelming 3 track EP. He promised the label team already in autumn 2015 to produce an EP for Enormous Tunes again and since then we were eagerly waiting in front of our mailbox to receive some demos. When we finally got the 4 tracks (1 track is scheduled to be a part of our Ibiza Nights compilation released on May 30) the whole office crew was dancing on the desks and we didn't had to think twice and signed the whole EP. RIJEKA is the principal seaport and the third-largest city in Croatia (after Zagreb and Split), but also the name of this EP and its title track for which Daniel teamed up with our in- house buddy CALIPPO. Together they created the first summer club hit in 2016. The track combines Daniel's signature techno and minimal sounds and Calippo's excessive use of organic instruments and classic house elements. The melodic brass breakdown section goes off like a big stadium anthem and teases with a traditional croatian folk choir chant that leads into the pumping and epic drops. CASA RUMBA also takes a mediterranean house direction. The native vocal raps build the signature here and together with the crispy percussion licks and conga loops they make the track a true summer beach weapon. For the friends of the more techier house music, Daniel produced CAHUENGA. A techno track with dark synth stabs, epic and progressive build ups and super hot drops. A must have EP for all the DJs who want to bring the summer a little closer to their crowd.

Headed up by longtime colleagues and collaborators Function (David Sumner) and Inland (Ed Davenport), Infrastructure New York spent the good part of 1998 to 2005 serving up the prolific output of both artists – with a few cameos from others along the way. Following a ten-year hiatus, Infrastructure has now re-emerged as a busy and consistent platform for modern electronic music, marking a new wave of material which has been dormant since Sumner's first material on Sandwell District in 2007.

Since its resurgence, Sumner and Davenport have orchestrated a heavyweight set of releases: ten vinyl releases, two singles from avant-garde composer Campbell Irvine, a reissue of acid classics from Trackman (Mark Archer), a crossover single by Cassegrain & Tin Man, and plenty more. Now comes Infrastructure's next milestone – Facticity. A 4 x 12” vinyl box set, CD and digital format compilation featuring fifteen tracks by key artists, label colleagues and new faces. Function, Inland, Campbell irvine, Post Scriptum, Cassegrain & Tin Man, Rrose, Efdemin, Vatican Shadow, Silent Servant, Blue Hour, Steve Bicknell and Cleric all feature; spinning a narrative that ranges from lush, ambient and post-club diversions, to contemporary floor-orientated techno and back again.

Our highlight off the compilation comes from the reputable Efdemin, whose "Kassiber" is a kaleidoscopic take on the well-versed techno rhetoric.
